I figure if the world's gonna end a month after voting, where's the point in it anyway? :=

Maybe the end of the world will be caused by the fact that you didn't vote.  :=

Have a look inside the car. Especially check the trunk for a death body or some guns etc.

EDIT:

Whoops posted before me  :-[

Last day Ninja post!

Beauty of the beast

Download demo

A small demo of the game I've been working on for far too long.

Special thanks to Baron and Crimson Wizard for helping me out so far. Thanks to you guys I'm confident the project will get done.... some day.

PS: The slider puzzle does work but it has a bug afterwards. So it's best to play that one separately from the rest if you want to test it out. That puzzle is not required to finish the demo anyway.

I think it would work better if he didn't swing his shoulders quite so much.

yeah. I noticed while trying to download the latest Swarm project build. That was more then a few hours ago though. Better revert to other upload sites for now I suppose.

I've just finished my "kaboom" aswell:

Should have posted on here to claim it I guess.

I got asked which colours the rainbows are four times. Even two times in a row. Does this have to do with my sexuality?  :=

Wow it has been 10 years also really.

Congratulations!

I haven't been on the site for a while I think but it doesn't look that different to me. Maybe it's time for me to catch up on a few games I've missed from Crystal Shard.

General Discussion / Re: GTD: DLC
Tue 14/06/2011 16:26:26
* What kind of DLC are you willing to pay for? Why?
I consider getting DLC for games I really really like and want to play more of. For example Fable 2. I also really liked Mirror's Edge but I would never get the DLC because it's just a thrown together mappack. The DLC would really have to add a lot to the game. Also it would help if the DLC wouldn't be so pricey, especially for older games.

* Do you believe that DLC is a good/bad thing? Why?
I can't really choose sides on this one. It's good that developers have a way to release more of the same without having to create an entire. If you really like a game it's nice to get some extra stuff for it. It's a bad thing though when it only get's used to cash in extra money. For example when the DLC only got a few maps or a handfull of achievements to lurk people into buying it.

*Do you agree/disagree with any of the above statements? Why?
I do agree with most of them since I want to be a game developer myself and understand the situation I suppose.

* Do you think that the inclusion of exclusive DLC warrants Boycotting? Why?
I haven't really seen a game yet where a DLC kills the game. But I guess it depends on how exclusive the content is. I don't want to play half a game and would have to get the DLC to play the rest. If I think I will enjoy a game I will probably get it anyway.

I'm no expert but these songs sound really professional! A job well done guys and girls! I do agree the vocals could do with a bit more spice at times. But I for sure can't sing so I'm still very impressed.

Hey people.

The game I've been working on Beauty of the Beast is progressing really slow. I would like some help to speed things up and maybe get it done one day. Here is what I need:

Story design:

I had made a story for the game but I find myself changing it over and over again. The plot and the dialog is just getting silly and I'm stuck on it. I really would like someone who could help me figure out the plot. There are only a few small things I would like in there (to prevent from having to remake too many assets)

Programmer:

I have two puzzles that I can't figure out how to script. I've asked help and tried numerous times but now it's giving me headaches. The two puzzles are both slider puzzles. One is like the AGS game: blockz http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=42259.0.
The other one is a traditional slider puzzle with nine tiles.

Hoping for a response. Here are some screenshots to show you what the game looks like (to get you interrested  :=)

That's great news although it doesn't really change my perspective on Wadjet Eye. I always felt you were very open to new talent. Always good to have confirmation though.

The title suggest that you only take AGS games (and perhaps only adventure?). Is this so?

UT & L4D  anyone?

I've been working with Unity for a while. I'm not a scripter but perhaps I can help out on the art side? I also know how to get animated models (like characters) into the engine.

I've read your comment on the poster of The Philanthropist and I think you kind of did the same thing here. It looks great nevertheless

The poster for The Philanthropist was made a while back and this poster was made before I announced my game, so any similarities are purely coincidental.

It definitely looks great Dave.

Oh sorry I didn't mean they are copied from eachother or something. I meant the comment Dave gave on the other thread. How the characters on the poster look too serious for the tone of the actual game. I think the same thing is true for the Blackwell poster here.
