Thank you guys. That is a real help. I got so caught up with paint/colour that I forgot about details, clean up and perspective.

I will get down and dirty with this when the time comes. Thank you so much for the advice.

Update:

Yes, primitive is it not? Basic simple wash. The room is dark and tv is supposed to be on, so shadow to come.
How can I improve on this?

Thank you Anian!

Thats what I am trying to do but... how do you paint with the lines still showing? I know this sounds stupid but I have tried the paint behind option in Paint Shop Pro and it does not work.  ???

I am working on this background which I have sketched into Paint.net with my bamboo tablet. But how the "huh" do I improve on this. The game I am working on is not pixel based.
I am not bothered about perspective getting the perspective right, our game is satirical/ill humour based.

I also have Paint Shop Pro X to use but I have no idea on how to improve on this.

The background itself is the flat of the game's protagonist. Tv sitting on cardboard box, sofa, shelves etc... At the back, the door which is open is a cupboard with no shelves in it. The other doors are a bedroom and a WC (kitchen is to the left but won't be accessible in-game).

Sorry for being oblivious and thank you in advance for your help.

Can I do all these things in programs like Paint.net?

I don't have that kind of money  :)

Hi, currently I am working on a game that I am making with a friend of mine.
For me specifically, I am supossed doing the animations, backgrounds, and the arty stuff.

I have a Bamboo One tablet but I am terrible at the thing. So I am drawing all the detailed stuff and sketches with pencil and paper. However, I do not know much on how to get good enough scans, what properties etc... When I try, I get extremely faint lines.

Please help me and thanks in advance.

I know I suck  ;)

General Discussion / Re: The BNP

The government and the most of the UK won't give a monkey's arse about the BNP, as long as they don't do anything. We are British, it's our native tradition the complain and whine but do nothing whatsoever.

An absolutely brilliant read!

Downfall is a unique, one of a kind game. I am looking forward to your next game  ;D

Loominous' image doesn't want to come up for me... So I am going to have to go with ProgZmagz for this one.

Pretty cool mummy.

I have to say, congratulations on making this game.
It seems like you have had a pretty tough time, judging from the morals of the game...

I loved it a lot. For me, it was very provocative.

For those who are considering of buying Downfall, please do not let the reports of bugs put you off.

About a month ago... I eventually decided to finally buy a Wacom Bamboo One.
It's is absolutely brilliant! Apart from the obvious uses of drawing with it, it is great using it for playing Crayon Physics Deluxe http://www.crayonphysics.com  :)

My problem with it would be that (for me) it would seem like the Mummy films.

Just to say; I found out that in the doctor's room, when you hover the cursor around the books, the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy stands out as "The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galax
It stops like that without the speech marks closed.
I know that it's not a biggy.

I'll continue to add details of bugs etc... if I encounter them.

Just to say, this game is absolutely awesome  ;D
I love the atmospere. I do not want to play this at night... very scary.

Just bought Downfall to play on a camping trip.
I'll give feedback in a few days or so  ;D
I am really looking forward to play this.
From playing the demo, it's definitely worth my £6.95  ;D

After playing the demo, I am considering buying the game. Nice job Grim  ;D!

I only have one question... What were you on when you designed it  :D?!

I have been wanting to get some kind of graphics tablet for quite a while now after getting more and more interested in the world of art (also for GCSE). But I have been having trouble on choosing what tablet to get. Something fairly simple and not too expensive.

I started playing for a bit without the disk because for some reason it worked. I then get to the subway and it starts asking for disk 2, but I only installed it on one disk :)

Quote from: Intense Degree on Fri 24/04/2009 16:25:52...hmmm this has made me feel like trying it again now, wonder how far i'll get?!

Good luck with that   ;)

I mean, I quite like it, but it's not the kind of game where you feel the need to have to finish it. It would be one of those games you play and finish on a hot summer holiday - day.
