jesus, who are you, Tony Montana?Ã,  Either way, I've got a nice set of lock picks, pet jaguar, Camera scramblers, triple lock door neutralizer and, um, un-alarm system-er that will render your security...um, meaningingless.

ha ha.

ha ha ha ha.

You're not...Solid Snake are you?

Can i also suggest giving the clouds some sort of blur? They seem a little too sharp. Nice work.

Wow, she looks alot older. In the previous sketchs and works I was thinking she was 10 or 12, but here she looks 14. I like the change, it will go well with the game, cant wait to see it finished. Only crit is the shadow on shirt rightbelow the strap on the left how it juts out, doesnt appear natural.

Yeah, i know what you mean, i did try to blow the size of the boots and the hat up a little to make them look as if they drowned her slightly, but she does look older.

As for the shadowing, there's a lot not quite right, the shadow on her right sleeve should really be on the left of the sleeve seeing as theoretically the lightsource is coming from the right. But as i said it was just a quick colour so i'm not too bothered. I'm working on a new BG too, so ill get the progress up for that soon and perhaps even make a tutorial if people would be interested enough?

I quite like the style but personally i think there's a little too much of the photoshop lighting effects involved. It does suit in some situations, but i think the fact that every available lightsource has the same 'trick' is slight overkill. Just my opinion though so dont take it to heart. Characters are cool though, keep it all up!

i like this scene!

I would perhaps add a few bits for some detail:

-vending machine
-hang down clock
-bin
-Movie/advertising poster
-graffiti

As for the tracks, i wouldnt worry about the detail too much, remember that the focal point is the platform itself, so make sure that they dont draw eyes away too much.

"Egg mountain (given it's name unsuprisingly because of it's reseblance to a giant egg) is the show-piece of Crane Egg Island, and one of the island's many sites that makes it such a unique place to see. The fierce gradient means that the mountain itself has yet to be conquered, and some even believe that the egg holds the spirit of a giant crane, rumoured to be the guardian and keeper of the island! Whatever you beleive, you should make an effort to see the mountain in it's enourmous entirity, you won't be disappointed!."

"Un-surprisingly". If that is a real word.
"Resemblance".
"Believe".
"Entirety".

Love the art, but you should fix those typos. :P

I stand corrected :(

I really don't know why the spell check didn't pick those up, however i blame lack of sleep on my part lol.

Wait, if you dont have a pc, how did you start a game? Do you go to your friends house or something?

the guy who's doing the developing works on PC, i myself am a Mac user. My dad has a pc for work, but it's difficult to put any time in on it because it's always being used.

i don't mean to be pedantic, but here's the text, in full:

'Egg mountain (given it's name unsuprisingly because of it's reseblance to a giant egg) is the show-piece of Crane Egg Island, and one of the island's many sites that makes it such a unique place to see. The fierce gradient means that the mountain itself has yet to be conquered, and some even believe that the egg holds the spirit of a giant crane, rumoured to be the guardian and keeper of the island! Whatever you beleive, you should make an effort to see the mountain in it's enourmous entirity, you won't be disappointed!.'

also, the eyes aren't flat, there is a slight curvature tot hem, but the style isn't even realistic in terms of perspective anyway, so i don't really see this as an issue.
#435
yeah i guess 'concept' was the wrong word really, lets just stick to art then.

well it's been too long, but as ive said in the game production section I'm finally getting back to some sort of progress with the game. Here's a rough tablet sketch i did of the Main character (she's called gloria in case some of you may have forgotten. The plan is to clean it up and colour it up. Ill keep progress posted:

cheers for the feedback

RE the proofreading: i dont quite follow, what do you mean?

RE the mountain:

If you mean the shot on the left, its actually a view from the bottom looking up, so the eyes are skewed to match the perspective.

If you mean the small shot inset next to the text, that was a very early shot i created, and it's since been changed as the eyes are a little out of position when compared to the map shot.

Thanks all

Yeah it's coming upto a year now, (wow, that has gone really quick) and development is painstakingly slow for a nuber of reasons:

-i dont have a pc myself, so it's v. difficult for me to do anything programming related atm.

-i'm doing a full time multimedia design BA which means a lot of my time gets sapped by that.

-Domenico also does a degree, so it's difficult to find time to hook up and get a lto done with it.

BUT rest assured the game will never be dropped, no matter how slow things go. We're gonna get together for a few days over easter and get on with some of it. I dont really care for things like percentages, because a percentage is only relevant to the product as a whole, so i don t find them to be totally accurate. I can say however that the story pretty much nailled from start to finished (and i mean as a whole, not just part 1 which will be the 1st installment)

I'll keep updating

nice  :)

Not TLOTLL related, This is some art from a recent college project i did, it was a brief for Honda, where they wanted to boost the brand, so i created a mini site with a 3 minute animation movie. This is some of the concept art for the main character's house. If people want to see more i'll post it up.
