Here is my edit of your picture. I edited it at green boy's edit and resolution
my edit removes some of the unnecessary colors and added more darker eyes
but sorry if that is not what style you wanted




It looks to me like like the original picture was scaled with a paint program. That's why it is high low resolution or

you're trying to do a lowres style in a hi resolution. 

as green boy says

and There is way too many colors. but if this is low-res then it won't be that hard to animate but still no need for that many colors.

just to a ask quick question about the reflections what could i do to make it look more like a pond maybe I should use a green shade like a transparent shade ( i forgot the word a low opt--something). and then to animate should I use a layer and distort it or something

I love your edits their a lot better perspective and good clouds and hills.

But I am going to do some house's (maybe just roofs and a couple hills but green forest like hills and lots of trees.

To do my clouds I used a tool on Pro motion called the smear tool which doesn't work well. the way you do clouds does look a lot better than my funny looking white blobs.   

With the perspective I will show another background I made tomorrow of a close up of the upper window.

thanks for playing It    . I know I made the game really really simple. It was more if just a quick joke. I am going to make an episode 2 Which will be a lot more challenging. I think even the next version of this game I will add some more puzzles,challenges and rooms. I will hopefully do that by next month so I can make a really good next game. 

Thanks for the replys. The water I was going to make reflections and more detail too but I was going wait a bit maybe look at some tutorials first on reflections.


This is a real house that's in a neighborhood so I could draw more houses in the background and hills.



I am definitely going to add some more trees and plants and things in the garden I just haven't had an idea on what texture or color to do palm trees and plants.


Great advice on perspective I really needed some help on that thanks.

The black behind the house is a wall but I need to add a texture to it I will do it but maybe when I get photoshop.

I know an example of an old game that did this too the game was called ZOOL
The best advertising technique I think.

That sound's like quite a clever idea I like it  . I might just give it a go.  ..... one day

At least with that technique you will always have the perfect perspective and shadows. 
Well that must of been a lot of work  . That technique reminds me of a game I played years ago called Bad Mojo.

Was this an animation of a real picture or real pictures?  :o

Good work that animation looks pretty good but I think you need to add 1 or 2 more frames at the end of the animation for when he stands up again . But besides that I think the animation looks pretty smooth to me.

Edit: Actually the animation wasn't showing the last couple frames earlier

I took AtelierGames advice on making the house white and does look a lot better Improved the shape alot and changed the grass to make it look more like grass.

Sorry Crimson Wizard  I couldn't resist downloading this game just to beat your high score     .

Good game abstauber     .I like how you did the old retro style feel. The scripting for it must be scary to look at too. I completed the game once through the story mode and my high score was 157600 on hard.

This game reminded me how much I miss old arcade games like Raptor.

Is my game really that bad that no one has even criticized it.

I am starting on my Episode 2 of my game now. And this is my first background. But I am not happy with it so can I have some idea's on making it better please.

Alright so I have played your game. I have noticed quite a few scripting error's like when you are in the bedroom and you use the pillow you get 5 points you can still click on it and get more points. But pretty good anyway for your first game though it is a bit longer than mine. Also good perspective well I think so  with the backgrounds. good work I am sure you will improve.  .

What are the chances I released my first game about a hour ago? I will try it now and see if it is better than mine (Well I doubt it could be worse   ). Plus mine is also a Christmas present.
And I am also making a second one. Are you sure you're not copying me     .
