The Fountain?

The only famous Mexican general I can think of is Santa Anna. So... Santa Anna?

Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings?

I remember reading about this but I can't remember the guy's specific name.

Wasn't there some controversy about whether he actually did it?

An interesting insight into your past and present motivations.

Your strength and perseverance is impressive.

Your capacity for forgiveness doubly so.

AGS is made better by your presence.

Keep on keepin' on my friend.

Yeah I've seen this too... LONNNNGGGG time ago.

I remember there was a group of people having a party or something and they started shooting artillery (or some odd weapons) at the trees and I was completely confused about it.

I'll be damned if I can remember what movie it was though.

Wild guess; Logan's Run?

Roald Amundsen for the win :D

I enjoyed that clue. Just the right amount of obscurity and enough hints to think outside the box. Well done!

On to the next:

This Norwegian explorer (with his four companions) is credited as being the first human to reach the geographic south pole on 14 December 1911. Beating the British Terra Nova Expedition, led by Robert Falcon Scott, by only 5 weeks.

This one should be easy (if I didn't make he clue too obscure):

He was a well-known actor and while he spoke his most famous sentence on a stage in a theatre, he is not remembered for his acting.

I liked the most recent one the best so far (more closely conveys the WWII propaganda poster feel) however I still feel like it lacks some of the... power... of those posters.

I did a quick paint-over for an idea I had:

- I didn't have the exact font so I had to change that a bit (matched as close as I could get with the fonts I have).
- I centered the content drawing the eye to the "dramatic" figure in the middle
- added a star icon (forgive me I'm not up to date with my WWII era soviet iconography so that might be a tad inaccurate but easily changed)
- added the sun-burst "flare" to the background

Just trying to get that "holy shit I need to do my part" urgency those posters were designed to convey.

I'll admit, however, that I'm far from a propagandist so I might have missed the mark a bit :D

I hope it helps!

Is this from 1982's (criminally under-rated) classic The Beastmaster starring Marc Singer and the incomparable Tanya Roberts?

This AGS Forums member won the last round, but has yet to post the next question...

This honest man was the 16th president of the United States of America.

Congrats on the release!

I kind of hate to lock this... gonna be weird not seeing it pop-up in the GiP from time to time.

Guess you better start working on the sequel :D

Glad to know it's still going strong!

Please check the image links (in the first post) they aren't showing up for me! (I checked them manually and got 404s)
Thanks! Looking great!

^Am I the only one that thinks this thread should be a little less poetic? These initial questions are just so opaque. I get it ~ we're all adventure gamers ~ but the initial 'three-cryptic-hints-before-an-actual-hint' approach is getting old very quickly. Anyone else in favour of a 'this American was the first Catholic president' sort of thread? I mean, just ask the damn question! (laugh)

Interesting. I, personally, find it more fun that way. Couldn't really explain why. I think it's because it's not just pointing to the answer.  You have to interpret the clues.  I suppose it should be left to the discretion of the one posting the question? Unless a lot of people find it annoying too.
