I've not seen Galaxy Quest, but if you mean main theme, they use the same one as the original Star Trek, the series they are continuing. Paramount has allowed them to continue so long as they don't make money from it, and many popular writers from the franchise are attached to it, such as D. C. Fontana writing the next episode, and two DS9 writers on the next.

Meh, Firefly ALL the gorram way! ;D

Nah, if anyone does that I'll go all River Tam on their ass  :D see my avatar. Anyways, there was a parody called "Mosquito" which was apparently well-produced and funny, though I've not seen it. Also, there is a serious fan project going called "Into the Black" that is based in the Firefly verse, produced by a group of Vancouver Browncoats.

Forget all the previosly mentioned titles and make a parody of "Alien from L.A.", Kathy Ireland starred in that film, along with Thom Matthews (Tommy Jarvis in Friday the 13th VI). It was cheesy as hell. I'm sure you can think of a way  :D

We are not to blame for the price hike, since it occured sometime in the extremely lengthy period between our booking and yours  :D good to hear that you have booked though, I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Out of interest, WHY is it called Mittens?

Oh, not that old chestnut :P If you're looking for an interesting story about the origin of its name, look up a good liar. If you want the truth (?), check the Wiki article.

There was a time where Magintz and I were planning to take the Euromed to Alicante, (before we knew there would be an additional AGS unit in Barcelona) and this seemed to top the other options. Remember we will require a return ticket, so we will need nearly â,¬76 each apparently.

This is a real pity, as I was looking forward to the nine of us travelling independently in an unfamiliar country. If I we were taking a night in Ibiza like I suggested we could just take a ferry from Barcelona and onward to Alicante. Man, I love being right ! :P However, I DO admit that there are other ways..

Considering that there are too many of us to fit into anything smaller, I guess we'll have to reconsider the bus and train options, unless anyone has any bright ideas.

Contrarywise, I hate Star Wars and am huge fan of Star Trek, a parody won't offend me.

Also Mark, though I haven't heard of a purely Star Wars convention, I'm sure they exist, and I have seen just as many Stormtroopers and Darth Vaders as I have Klingons and Federation personel at these events.

I wouldn't say Star Trek fans are any crazier.

Hmmm...

But I'm not a whore!!!

Or am I?

No, you're an uptight North American.

Did you listen to the final last one? :P They say that is the last regular podcast. There are plans to record them for special events like Brittens/Mittens and perhaps awards too.

You should be able to get a ride then. I'm sure someone (not me because I can't drive the rental! :P) would be willing to take you to the airport, but if what I hear is correct then that might not be necessary...

Farlander- I just spoke to a friend (who by coincidence studied in Benidorm for a semester last fall) and she told me that a tram between Benidorm and Alicante was completed sometime during her stay there. Is there any truth to this? It would certaintly solve a lot of troubles if it is for real.

Ooh, much better looking than the previous incarnation Greg. My bookmark is updated, and I eagerly await more information on Super Jazz Man :D.

Sorry for the lack of updates over the last couple of days, I've currently got my head buried in FL Studio, working on the soundtrack.

FL Studio? For most of the scenes you'll only need a guitar and autowah pedal :P.

I agree with Ishmael in that I find anime completely uninteresting..however, this game does look and sound just the opposite. I'd quite like to take this for a spin.

Question please - how do I go from Alicante to Benidorm? And back? Is there public transport early in the morning, for instance (easiest flight back leaves at 7am)? Or should I be getting from Barcelona to Benidorm and back?

Radiant- is your flight leaving the morning of the 23rd or 24th? The Barcelona crew will be leaving out probably about 3-4pm on the 23rd, so the AGS van would be available to cart people around that morning.

QuoteI think the mittens van is the best bet. We need to make sure that all the barcelona crew are definitely coming, so we don't waste money on a 9 seater if only 7 show up.  The two that haven't booked are Spleen and Layabout... are you guys certain you're going to?

Errr dude, what about me?

I haven't booked yet but I'm taking the van option.

Quote from: Pumaman on Mon 03/04/2006 23:27:43
Ok, so the Barcelona Posse now seems to be:
1. Me
2. scotch
3. AGA
4. Disco
5. Magintz
6. Layabout
7. Mattgoble
8. Spleen
9. m0ds

If we do the van thing, we're now full!

See number 9. You're in dude :P

Yay, sounds good to me. I was really hoping the AGS van idea would come to life. Also, because I feel the need to surpass everyone who has posted images of their itineraries...

That's right SSH, I'll be around about 3:30 pm, that should leave plenty of time to prepare the red carpet :P

Very nice Mark, thanks for posting these :D. One thing though, why am I either eating or sleeping in your photos?  :P. This is all making me look forward to Brittens/Mittens more.

The voices...
when Sam says, "Can't think of a reason not to."
Sounds as if he's reading.

He probably is reading  :D:

Yeah, the first time I watched it it played in second-long bursts, but when it concluded I hit "Play agian!" and it went on uninterupted.

Hey there Sam and Max fans,

As the title states, Telltale has released the Sam and Max trailer. It's purpose is to show off the graphics and voices, as none of it seems to belong to any gameplay environment. You can view it at the new S&M (::)) site here. Sam talks about Gametap (Telltales collaborators) and Sam speaks about the series being episodic. The dialogue is hilarious and does not betray the franchise.

Though the voices are not the same as the game or cartoons, they are still true to the duo. I must say I am relieved now, and can't wait to start playing this "season"  :D.

Hey m0ds! Speaking of Mittens, what are the chances of us seeing your 2005 pics before the 5th edition?  :D
