Yay, someone come to Athens a day early and keep me company  :D
I will arrive in Athens the afternoon of the 12th and will be staying three nights at Athens Backpackers. Then we can do that Tom Hanks thing while the 6.25 day Mitteners show up at the airport.

The dates will MOST PROBABLY be 15 to 22
That information brings visions of sugarplums and an extra $100!

As far as LucasArts are concerned, 'Sam & Max: Freelance Police', the official sequel to 'Hit the Road', is deader than Disco.

Why did you have to go and say that? :'(

Perhaps he meant he was the product of a botched vasectomy :o

*Edit*
Damn you Ninio! (+echo)

Are there any Yanks planning on attending?
Yep, one more right here!

Gosh, I would like to coordinate flights too, but by Mittens I will have been in Greece two days already, no matter what date, so coordination is not possible.

The 15th is looking better as it gives me an extra week to secure more spending money (not such a big deal).

I'm in for the 15th start date. My flight(s) will be a tad cheaper then and I've already sort of based my other european excursion options around this date. Nothing has been booked yet, so I can go either time.

I will most certainly not have a tent (My 8 man does not easily travel) so will need to rent. Perhaps someone else not providing their own can share a rented with me.

In the US works become public domain (I believe :-\) 75 years after creation. In my Digital Imaging class, we were to use only original images in our pieces unless the images were created 75 years ago, it would be considered "fair use" then.

If this is the case, your game is seven years from a legalish US release :(.

No kidding! Their songs sound like Jamiroquai, which is why I really like it.

Huh!?! I wants it!

*listens to samples*

Okay, I can see that, a little. Still quite funkyish.

A few weeks ago. Some less than happy discussion took place at Adventure Developers in this thread.

The Rumpus Room / Re: Happy Birthday Thread!

I hosted a party for TerranRich's birthday. Here is what happened-

The Birthday Cake/Veggie Burger :D

Playing and singing the birthday song!

Afterwords, attendees ate ice cream and discussed the neat party

These upbeat shenanigans only increased my excitement
for my own birthday party on June 17.:)

Yes, there will be another Friday movie. The report of Quentin Tarantino directing the movie had been labeled balderdash just a few days after that news bullet, Hillbilly. No director has been named yet.

And don't be so shocked guys, there will always be a new Friday the 13th film in the works as long as there are new motion pictures being made.

Nostalgic for "Pete and Pete" Scummbuddy? Four days from today go to your local DVD retailer and ask for this.
It will surely bring you back.

And I do believe in what SOAD sings about Disco, I just don't madly listen to it while pondering over the lyrics until the wee hours of the morning (often)

I've listened to a lot of System of a Down (Despite my nick), and I don't quite recall a song where they take what everyone says and augment it to seem like the most extreme case possible.

Let the whitchhunt begin.    Kill TerranRich!!!

Also, I don't believe witch hunts and the death penalty are exactly tools of liberals.

I heard Bea Arthur on the radio talking about KFC's horrible treatment of the chickens they keep. I trust Bea Arthur! I shall not support KFC, though being vegetarian makes it extra easy :D

If you support an artist by buying their records, perhaps you ought to read DEEPLY to be sure you're not supporting something you really don't care for.

Call me a republican Akumayo and I'll get angry

Al_Ninio - its looking better, but you might try adding a few shiny hair lines extending beyond the current shiny section.

Andail - I think the nose was good where it was originally, it looks a little too low with your adjustment. Maybe meet halfway?

General Discussion / Re: Irrelevant Rant

Ah, I laugh out loud quite a bit, but usually many hours or even days after the stimulae is present. Sometimes when I'm driving I will begin to laugh uncontrollably at something that didn't strike me as exceptionally funny days before.

I am also prone to laughing at things that shouldn't be so funny. A good example is my piano class last semester. The professor was calling on us to identify key signiatures out of the book. She had us turn to one page and said "Okay, now here you have three flat symbols staring you in the face. What is the key signiature?" I suddenly turned red and was trying hard not to laugh, to the point where I was shaking. Something about "flat symbols staring you in the face" was so funny that I was doing the silent can't-make-make-any-sound-with-your-voice laughter, and everyone else was carrying on normally. Finally after about 8 minutes (no joke), I was called on and promptly asked what was wrong. I told her exactly what was causing my out of place behavior, and that had to have been the most awkward minute in my education. She did the slow "Oookaaaaaay!?" thing while the rest of the class exchanged "wtf?" glances.
That was gnarly.

Hey look! I rambled too!

Apparently, the catholic church has no intention to change anything anytime soon

This scary little girl seems to think otherwise (taken from my city's newspaper yesterday)-

The question was "What do you think of the new Pope?"
I'm not going with the whole Hitler angle, but isn't there something Hitleresque about what the girl said? I know she's only 10, but this is a good example of why I don't believe. The homogenization of cultures and raising childeren to think one and only one way  is a horrible thought for me. I doubt she knows who Siddhartha is or Confucious is or whoever, and if she does she will likely associate them with "heathens".

I should blur the surname, but....nah

I completely agree, there is no justice in the judges decisions. Leroy is entertaining, mostly because you're laughing at, not with him. Honestly, my favorite through all the seasons (Besides Fantasia, I picked her from the start) is Paula Fuga, the Hawaiian girl whom I though was truly great, but was not picked up in the audition round because of her weight. If she ever releases anything, I would likely buy it.

It is sad that the judges even state that the "idol" should be easy on the eyes. There was another large woman that tried out this season, Simon said the "That was good, but honestly, it's the way you look that prevents you from advancing" sort of thing. He's an ass.
