Am I missing out?

I don't care about his personality at all, I don't like him because he released FEZ with lots of game breaking bugs and refuses to update it because Microsoft has an update fee that he didn't want to pay, it's a very small fee so I didn't see the problem.

Wasn't it like 50k or something after one update?

General Discussion / Re: Games for the PS2

VIDEOGAMES! My favourite subject!

Way of the Samurai and it's sequel are two of my favourite PS2 games. Very adventurey, with non-linear gameplay. I'm a big fan of Acquire's catalog of games though, such as the Tenchu and Shinobido titles, so I may be a little biased.

Glass Rose is a good adventure game that nobody seems to have heard of, as is Gregory Horror Show. The Project Zero/Fatal Frame games are also fantastic. As are...oh, heck, here's a short "no-particular-order" list, based on what I can see without standing up and going over to the shelf they're on:

Haunting Ground
Clock Tower 3
Spy Fiction
Silent Hill 2, 3, and 4.
Gungrave
Gungrave Overdose
Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3
Way of the Samurai
Way of the Samurai 2
Shinobido: Way of the Ninja
Shadow of the Colossus
Ico
Shadow of Memories
SOS: The Final Escape
Glass Rose
Gregory Horror Show
Project Zero/Fatal Frame 1, 2, and 3.

...

All very Japan-centric, but that was mostly what I was into during my PS2 days. The Slimline PS2 model is nice and quiet, and not as prone to failures (in my experience) as the older, heavier, noisier, original.

As for regions, all Playstation software is region-locked. PAL PS2 and PS1 games will only play on a PAL PS2, and the same is true of NTSC US and NTSC JAPAN. Unless it's a modded PS2 (with a chip), in which case anything will play on it.

All the games I've mentioned had PAL releases, and at least 75% of them had NTSC US releases. Unfortunately, a lot of them won't be that easy to find, and some of them might go for (relatively) high prices. If condition isn't an issue, some disc-only or ex-rental copies might prove a lot cheaper.

Have fun! ;-D

...

VIDEOGAMES!

He listed pretty much all my favorites.

QuoteOne of them is exactly that classical listeners think of computer game music as inferior, while gamers think of classical music as boring
Depends... Cod fans prolly.. But I think that might be generalizing to much.
I know quite a few people like that classical stuff and the other end of spectrum like tupac lol.

I kinda skimmed through this though im super tired atm... Best of luck though. (Btw if you need a art guy for anything hit me up :P)

Looks amazing. Such a cool idea I can't believe someone didn't do it sooner.

Best of luck to em!

Getting used to a tablet takes a few mins to a few days.
Or much more. It took me months before I was fairly comfortable with my tablet, and I still (after years of - admittedly fairly occasional - use) can't e.g. draw a straight line between two points in freehand.

Ah. I'd I figured it was a easy switch for most people I prefer it over paper by huge margin.

I drew alot with a mouse and I pickup on artistic stuff really maybe that helped /shrug.

Don't use a scanner. Getting used to a tablet takes a few mins to a few days.

Get that. Wacom cost a ton once you get into a good size and the really small tablets are a bit harder to draw on.

I've used mine for like 2.5 years and I perfer it over my smaller wacom.

I pulled out infront of a cop car 3 years back 2 days before I got my insurance cause I didn't want to miss a important college test so I was driving like a tard without it.

Its wierd because I made a left turn road was blocked went to next street and a branch was in the middle of the road... Next street pulled out didn't see anyone coming boom I see a cop car fly into a ditch.

/facepalm... Also the college class was Crim 101 for law enforcement. Needless to say I learned my lesson along with the 10 thousand dollar bill.

@nicky... Wow... Thats crazy.

Edit: I miss my thirdgen.

Edit:

As for your picture I normally start with a sketch on a layer then pres 1 or 2 to set to (20% opacity) then ctrl shift N for new layer and use the mouse tool if its something with hard edges and make a refined version of it.

Then block in the basic colors which sides of the building are darker ect and then I paint in details from there.

It seems like you might have used a large hard brush to draw the layout then painted over that.

You need to make your brush pressure sensitive then paint in the details and USE alt key to color pic to blend things.

@Frito: Yay, my first remix (of something I remixed). Nice what you did there, exactly what I was hoping for when I made this and flushed it down the intertubes. Can you post it on DA so I can link it somehow there?
Hmm?

In all seriousness though I like the song, I thought the video was funny and its catchy. I still like stuff related to it.

I will never buy a Sony anything ,,, rootkits, customer lawsuits (George Hotz), DRM'd VCR with unusable TV tuner, etc, etc.

To be fair george hotz deserved it :P

Honestly I could careless about the features of the consoles, games are all that matters. Theres a few cool looking ones so far.

I wouldn't mind doing some, If you have anything in mind I got a decent mic.

90% of pc games are console ports though.

Crysis 3 has pretty good graphics.  If you look at the nvidia tech demos and stuff them look really good.

Hair had physics in real time which I thought was pretty awesome.

Honestly I blame consoles and the fact a good gaming pc costs a decent amount.
#76
It looked decent until I noticed most of it looks like just digital painting with pixels. :P
#77
I honestly think people should be more open about sales figures specially smaller indie but thats just me. :P

Feel free to use if anyone needs it for a gangnam related thing :P or whatever

Edit:

Sorry had to.

You could make a flat low poly iris that moves or a moving eye or just change a texture or have a seperate eye lid model.
