Soo gooood! And now my OTHER favourite developers who complain about publishers; their ears will be pricking up. They will be wondering. I will be waiting with my bank account and my clicky finger.

Totes correct, even down to the minute detail of the life-status of the director!

Is Kings Quest 4/5/6 worth getting?
I'm interested because of Jane Jenson and prettiness and content that hasn't been fan-remade yet but my tolerance for Walking Dead stuff is very, very low. How much of that kind of thing am I likely to encounter in these?

I think there's more people than Ben here who can produce games work forking out money for. I'd totes pay for anything as fun and pretty as Limey Lizard, for instance, and Chance Of The Dead if it had the polish of being made in more time than a month (And RAM ghost was one of my top reasons for buying el bakesale bundalé).

The promotion should definitely emphasise a few flagship titles that'll look good in screenshots and have reputable names attached to them. Once people know they're getting that level of quality it's not like they'll object to having a handful of less professional, but still quality controlled and fun, games thrown in to sweeten the deal.

Me, Bluke4x4 and Krazy miiiiight have finished our big, stupid overambitious project that's taken us all way too long by this deadline. This would be a great thing to be involved in, we'll work hard, we'll try and get it all done and polished and worth paying money for.

Lots and lots of reports of that sort of thing...

The explanation is demons, naturally.

Babes in Toyland?

No googling, just very vague memories of being told about a movie that scared my mum when she was a kid. I'm pretty I heard it was black and white but it was mentioned this was a remake soooo... yeeeeeaaaaahhh?

EDIT: I meant Babes In The Woods

Ooh, this is well. When this is finished we should have a MAGS style contest to see who can throw together the niftiest platform game based on it.

At the end of my Mass Effect 2 -game, TALI DIED!!! :( And Legion too! The two most awesome characters, GONE FOREVER! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Spoiler

Hannah thinks she cracked the formula for avoiding that if you replay: Basically you have to do her special mission first and it gives her a chance to recover from her cold

Don't blame if it doesn't work or nuffink, I'm just repeating what she told me.

My girlfriend loves Mass Effect more than she loves me :(

I played through all of the first one, I liked the story and all but all the 'RPG' elements I thought were cack-handed, the inventory system was dull as hell, the levelling up and choosing your party was pretty much rendered redundantly the fact that most quests were about driving around shooting from a gun that never got upgraded or visiting three identical bunkers to shoot a different type of enemy you've already seen a billion times,  the sidemissions were repetitive and unrewarding, the paraphrased dialogue system was obtuse and I'd rather have just seen what Shepard (definitely a character in her own right and not a vessel for the player) had to say without dumb nuggets of I AM A RENEGADE NOW LOL! dropped into her life. So basically, I wish it was just an action game. But a much, much better action game with more than one bunker design and a lot less driving.

Buuut, I do want to see how it continues and from what I've seen of Hannah playing Mass Effect 2 it looks like they made a lot of improvements so I'll be buying the Ultimate Edition when it comes out.

Oh, and Tali is adorable.

I swear that some day I am making a list of every cool looking movie in this thread and vowing to watch them all.
I SWEAR THAT I WILL VOW THIS!

I've always been sceptical of "I know what I saw" stories because, well frankly "No you fucking don't" but it doesn't stop me from being incredibly fascinated with all this stuff.
I can't believe in ghosts, at all. For one, it reeks of wishful thinking about our own mortality and two, ghosts are scary but compared to the idea that our own brains can fail us and put bullshit ideas in our heads it's obviously a preferable idea. I've never had a supernatural experience, and on one level it makes me feel like some big superior champion of science and reason and on another it just makes me sad. On some level I think I almost want my beliefs to be wrong; I want to be scared shitless by something that isn't my own frail, hormone-soaked, cancer-susceptible, one wrong thought away from crazy life-vessel malfunctioning in some way... And I'm always looking. And I love hearing other people's ghost stories and the further away I am from figuring out a rational explanation the better.

But I still can't believe in it. It sucks.
