Advanced Technical Forum / Re:Speaker music!?

Haha, yes, that's excellent sound!

For some silly reason, I felt like expanding it a bit. I was bored. :)

I do know the internal speaker isn't capable of multiple voices, but like I said, I was bored, and boredom doesn't have any rules!1

When I played PQ1 there was no internet, so me and my pals played it for three years before beating it...now I would have spent three days on that game...you get spoiled

Quite so. Did I ever mention that I guessed random 555-xxxx numbers at the hotel where you're supposed to call for a cab? I didn't know there's 411 back then.

Ahh, the memories.

Critics' Lounge / Achtung Franz! A comic!
Fri 23/05/2003 23:17:08
Those of you who like comics that look good shouldn't take a look at this.

Those of you who like comics that are pretty crappily drawn but still have nice, intellectual kind of jokes in them shouldn't take a look at this.

Those of you who like absurd comics such as Pokey: feel free to click below link.

Below link.

Why?
We were discussing comics on IRC one day, surreal comics to be precise, and a bunch of us decided to draw some outrageously stupid comics ourselves. Obviously, I drew inspiration from Pokey the Penguin.
I kind of liked the result (the first two strips were drawn that night), so I continued drawing strips for this comic, that I named "Achtung Franz!". I'm now up to ten twelve strips, and more is probably on the way.

Feel free to comment, but keep in mind that any suggestions about the art will under no circumstances be considered. :)

I should also make some pages for it one day...

Hello.

I'm a beta tester for AGS version 2.6, and I feel it's my duty to inform you of some... oddities that weren't there in the earlier versions.

First of all, this strange message appeared when I went to download the file:

I didn't have much of a choice, so I installed it.
The next thing to confuse me was the following welcome message:

There was something strange with the actual program, too:

When I saw what had happened to Roger, I almost cried:

So there you have it. I'd be very careful about downloading the next version of AGS if I were you.

I might have to change my Pokey avatar to a Dan avatar. Me loves the BUTT cap. It's so offensive!

Dogfood baby, dogfood.

QuoteCorrect me if I'm mistaken, but I seem to remember from a tracker I used, you could only place notes on every 16th or 32nd note or something. In MIDI you can place notes as freely as you want... I could be wrong though.

True that. However, with some tempo manipulation you can achieve more complex rhythms than that in trackers, but granted, it's easier with midi.

* Ghormak nods in agreement

Petteri didn't just make that up in order to be able to host this compo. :)

Yes! Family Guy!!

That's a show that hasn't gone downhill yet.

Maybe that's because it got cancelled.

Darn.

That is very good art indeed.

Good job, LucasArts.

Here's mine. I'm just guessing about the year. It was simply easier to change it to 1999 than a year starting with 2.

Here's the original, if you want to know what I changed.

Medieval Robots

Dodecatone, schmodecatone. This one's doric!

I was going to redraw the scene in a Monkey Island style, but... you know... I got lazy.

(The reason AGA reposted this was that some users (read: me) were unable to reply to the original thread, for some reason. Hail him!)
