Update: see the main page.

Help Requested:

I'll post it here as well... is there anyone in the community who'd be willing to draw several introduction screens for me? It will be still screens that tell Richard's recurring dream he'll have during the game.

I could draw them myself, but I'm not really that good on close-up drawing, etc.

Thanks!

Just a little note on mannerism.

This is, of course, a generalisation and is meant as such.

There.

Ok, onto my little note on mannerism. It is often said that gay men walk with their hands like your sprite does. E.g. thumbs pointed at the body, and you can only see the side of the hands when you look at them from the side. I'm not quite sure I'm expressing myself in sufficient English, but well.

Straight guys, however, walk with their hands flat, when you view them from the side. So, their thumbs point forward.

So, to my eyes, your character looks a bit "gay". If that is the look you want for this punky fellow, then please, keep it. :)

Dear DG,

Where did you learn such an insightful way of looking at life? Was it a certain education? If so, I'm dying to get it too!

P'Pudding -> Nope... no worries, it'll be something you can work around (e.g. other dialog branch, puzzle). Also, it'll play a minor part in the overall game.

Adanzis -> At the moment: Nope. DaveGilbert has helped a lot, so that's mostly settled.

Vel -> I know. It took some doing on the motivational level.

A Dutch artist, Bram Vermeulen, makes music, paints, writes, etc. He made this painting about being drunk. I like it. :)

There'll be action sequences in Buccaneer II. :)

Check the main page for more updates. :)

Am I correct in assuming that you're going to approach a publisher directly instead of first trying to acquire an agent?

If that is so, then I must stres the following points:

A. Keep your manuscript simple. No graphics or anything, leave a double space between your lines.

B. No grammar mistakes of ANY kind. Publishers don't easily run through your book, they expect punctuality from you. Fail at this, and they can get very harsh on you.

C. They'll probably contact you about the name. Gardahf and Gandalf are just *too* similar for them to ignore.

Good luck on getting a publisher! If it fails, try to get an agent instead... they can represent you a lot better and have the required contacts.

Hmpf DG,

How come ever since your last response to my question, I have your picture on my dartboard and I've ritually burned all my unsent loveletters in a big bonfire?

Dear DG,

The past few weeks I've been dreaming about you in a sexual kinda way. I find your manly advice rather attractive...

...is there hope for me?

Looking good! And thank you for calling me a minor source of inspiration!

Only played it for a few minutes, but it plays nicely... now, quick, upgrade Fry2 to this GUI. ;)

Ok, if I remember correctly, that brings the game to a total of 3 possible endings:

(spoiler below, so don't read if you've yet to play it)

1. Indy persuades doctor Zimmerman (that's his name, right? Or am I confusing Star Trek with Indy?) to use the machine. Result: the man dies and Indy and Sophia are left facing the sunset in a romantic manner.

2. Indy leaves Sophia to rot in her cell, resulting in her using the god machine and dying. This leaves Indy facing the sunset alone. Hmm... I wonder if this was done as a possibility for players who hated Sophia Hapgood or are gay.

3. Indy himself is persuaded to use the god machine, resulting in his own death. Hmm... I wonder if this was done as a possibility for players who hated Indiana Jones or are lesbian.

Or are there more endings I'm not aware of?

M0dsian slip.

Hah, that's what you think! I'm just the secret owner of FoY. I did it all myself, but decided to let Miez, M0ds, Alan, Shawn and Amberlee take the credit.

So, each month I give them a few screenshots and such... they'll probably have the whole thing puzzled back together in a few months.

You always thought that was a potted plant in the background, huh?

Actually, I always thought it was Laverne.

Laverne the Ninja's cool, though. ;)

I am almost sure that she is freed but posessed by Nur ab Sal spirit.

I am also quite sure that the sunset scene has only Indy in it. I think that Sophia is killed in that "version" in some way, she appears at the final room, where the nazis are killed. I think she attempts to switch on the machine and she dies.

Similar to how the girl dies in Indy III. Greedy girls also die!

Ooooh, neat! I never discovered that particular branch of the game... hmmm....

*goes to play FoY again*
#235
Farlander, if I remember correctly, if you don't free her, Indy is left facing the sunset alone at the end of the game?

You sure Sophia was freed?
#236
Ah.

That's a clear case of Repressed Memory Syndrome there, foz...

Dig... deeper. Harder. You can remember...

...you MURDERER!

I was wondering about this...

In Fate of Atlantis, at the end of the game (just before entering the center ring), you have the option to free Sophia with the steel rod from her cage.

However, you can just as well let her rot in there and let the lava consume her when Atlantis sinks beneath the waves.

...so. Admit it. This is the time to shed your sin and admit how it made you feel.

Who killed Sophia Hapgood?
#238
Oi! I want a part in it too.
#239
Got it. :)

It downloads to 60 kb, then my download manager fails to continue... I've tried it 15 times already. :)
