Yeah that would be cool Igor.

BTW: to whoever spoke about the Star Trek game, two were released a long time ago on a very old version of AGS.  Perhaps you may have seen it. The graphics where a bit, erm... Commodore 64 style, but the game itself was good, but short.

I also remember being a lot of foul language in those games...

WOW Nice Job DM. Where you when LEC needed help on Star Wars adventure games in the early 90's?

Good Job, I really want to play this game badly.

I think RON was a good series, but we can also have other Series. I mean there is Star Wars novels, then there's Star Trek novels.

Whoever doesn't want to contribute, doesn't have to, and whoever does, can.

Well thats just the way I see it.

I always thought that everyone should do their own game based on the ags community.

It would be sort of like RON, just in a AGS universe.

AGAST seems to have released a new version if their engine, that seems really powerful.

But I would really think you should use AGS for the following reasons:

1) You can run games on Linux, Windows and DOS

2)Easy GUI Creation

3)Easy game Creation

4) Plugins

5) Can recreate any adventure game made

6) Multiple language translations

7)Larger community that will help you when you are in need

8) The author is frequently updating the engine, and fixing the bugs.

The one other reason not to use AGAST is becouse it now requires DirectX 9 which in my opinion is not Stable.

Wintermute is good, but a little difficult to learn and it is pretty new enough that it is missing some features that may be vital.

Also there is sludge, but it is not free.

So in my honest opinion, AGS is the right tool to use to make 3rd person point and click adventure games.

Holy crap! great shots and demo!

Please continue with this game.

We have someone who has Tierra potential here.

What if you used variables, like if variablespot1 = 1 its name will be hotdog when the mouse is over it, if it is 2, it will be hamburger etc...

Maybe for now you can use var's and when the mouse is on the hotspot.

But an easy function would be good.

I would like to see David Fox interviewed. He was the creator of Zak Mckracken .

As far as the top 10 games waited for, I had an idea. Why not add deathmatch votes. All games who submit will be in a round with five other games, out of those games, one will one from most votes, and will move on to the next round and compete against the next set of games, up until we have the top 10.

What about that Mods?

Well, I also use virtual springfield to use as graphics. So far for my "wheres maggie game" I have enough that I need.

I have been getting help from others who have been able to contribute the art into the game as well.

Yes, my game may not be good, but I would like to make it anyway. I like the Simpsons, and I wanted to try this for a long time.

Besides, look at that sq3 remake, lots of people didn't trust that it would be good. Now they saw the trailer and think differently. I might surprise someone you never know.

Let me know if you want to contribute.

Maybe I will do that Mods ;)

By the way, I posted two more shots. One is the Homer GUI, and the other is the very very incomplete Save/Load/Quit/Options GUI.

LOL, that demo haunts me everyday... How I made Homer do that is beyond me.

Maybe I will put a little glitch just as a joke in the Where's maggie game, I dont know... Expect something cooky to happen.

Hmm, seems the agdzine is not open anymore, but I will post anyway.

Simpsons: Springfield Woes will be released later than expected, rather than February 2004, I am aiming April 2004.

But a new Simpsons Mini-promo game will be released in December 2003: Simpsons Where's Maggie.

Okay, its not an official website, nor is there a new demo available, but some old screenshots as well as some new ones are posted here:

http://www.simpworks.com/forums/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=3784

To notice as far as new screenshots are: Marge in the Kitchen with Maggie.

And as far as other screenshots that were not in the previous demo game, are the one where homer is in Moes Tavern and the Map of Springfield.

Enjoy.

I like this idea as well.

Since more than 2 people agree to this, I have put it on the tracker.

Hmmm. Reading this makes me wonder... Maybe we can use A text box to do this. I will try and script something later and see if I can post it. No Guarentee's though.

If I do make it, maybe I could include it in Demo Quest II.

Yeah, the RPGish look is fine if thats what you prefer.

I downloaded the Game, and it looks great! Backgrounds and sprites are both excellent. Did you make them yourself?

As for a few suggestions, maybe you can make the savegame save only one slot. So where it says, Save Game, the code for it could be : SaveGameSlot(1, "Save 1"); And to restore it, RestoreGameSlot(1);

Also I noticed you have your own Quit Dialog, but when you hit CTRL-Q you get the default Quit GUI. I just wanted to point this out in case you werent aware of it.

But looks really good. And after seeing this demo, I look forward to the Full Game and Rebel Spy.

You really got talent it looks like.

Go for it! You could always try and make the game, if you dont succeed your not hurting anyone.

I would love to see a game like this on Bttf.

And yes, I agree that you should use DOTT as a base of idea's on how time travel could work.

The graphics look good. My only thing is that Boba Fett looks like something that belongs in an RPG rather than an adventure game. But none the less it looks cool!

Are still planning on making Rebel Spy? That game looked interesting.

But the game looks good, I am downloading it now, after I will give you a review.

WOW, I always thought that FreeBSD was the same as Linux, guess not.

Anyways, good job! I dont have FreeBSD, but I do have Linux!!!!

Little by little this thing is gonna be multiplatform....

Now if we could only get a Mac and Amiga version..........
