edit: Found one, sternharts secret room at the back of the temple. The place he runs after stealing the moonstone from indy... Luckily he missed the oriculaneum...

I'm not sure if there's actually a room back there, I think the secret door leads directly outside. And it's orichalcum, btw :)

I've recently played through FoA, here are two suggestions for unseen rooms, as I'm too lazy to participate myself:
1. Henry's house (it was in Indy3, but what would it look like in Indy4?)
2. The house of the old art dealer on the Azores

Some (boring ones) which just came to my mind:
-the inside of a beduine's tent
-behind the left and middle door at the model of Atlantis

Just finished it.

Nice puzzles, but no pixel hunts next time, please.
It was fun, looking forward to your next one!

loominous, simply amazing, I especially dig the clouds

Here's Thor, including a generic star background: ;)

3x:

As far as I know, he uses his hammer to produce lightning and thunder. (Storms, too?)

edit: 23 colors, btw

I think the biggest problem right now (apart from lighting n stuff) is the black outline around your edits. You should really remove it.
For the big sign, it almost looks like a message box :)

Then I'd try to add the shadow cast by the sign.
Although it's difficult to pinpoint the lightsource's location.
It looks like it's inside the hut, yet the inner roof is completely illuminated.
The lighting suggests the lightsource being on the doorstep...

General Discussion / AGSers World Map?
Tue 01/03/2005 03:59:22
Is the World Map ever going to be revived?

It's 'temporarily' offline for a long time now...

I could be totally wrong, but I fear you want to use parts of both engines for one game...
That's not possible.

I can't imagine anybody actually asking if this can be done, but I simply doubt that you just want to use some of AGS's sprites.

Please specify what

you want to use.

Al_Ninio: great, thanks!!
I found out that the original is called Stix.

Many years ago, I've played it in an arcade in italy, I think it was called Quix there.
I'll download every clone I can get my hands on.
Thanks again!

General Discussion / Anybody know this game?
Sun 27/02/2005 05:29:20
My head starts to ache whenever I try to remember that game's name...
Surely one of you knows the name.

You move some kind of gem drawing a line, trying to close an area. It you manage to do so before one of the enemys hits the line, the area fills, revealing part of the background picture, killing any enemy inside. After you've revealed about 90% of the pic, you advance to the next level.

Please. I've got to play it again, it's so much fun. But googling for something without a name isn't.

With a n00b topic like this, people will read the thread out of curiousity...
#12651
OMG!!!
This is so lame, only the fact that the download took over an hour is more shitty.

PS: I'm sure this is supposed to be a joke, even though there's no punchline.

Thanks, cool!
It's a bit sad that only 2 people participated...

And it's khrismuc, I'm Chris from Munich  ;)

After uploading to 2dadventure.com, you get a page with a direct link to the file. Just copy this to the clipboard and paste it into here. Saves you from typos.

Get TheGimp, then export the pic as png. Gif sometimes messes up the colors.
(Gimp is completely free and very professional.)

BTW, there's a Preview-button to check what you're posting here.

Don't post bmps.
#12655
I posted an updated version of my sprite, check my 1st post.

Right, apologies.

Still, it's pretty obvious that Bryce has no >Make Room< function, why don't people play around first?
Googling for a Bryce tutorial shouldn't be too hard, either.

Anyways, that question belongs in Adventure-related talk and chat, he surely didn't ask for:
Help with using the AGS Editor, and very basic scripting questions.

Cool, another piece of art for me to c&c!

So, let's see...well...

How do you make a room with poser or bryce? I have both but I don't see how to make rooms with them.

Your spelling is good, no obvious mistake, but you could improve your way of reading the forum rules.

(Sorry, couldn't resist)

Khrismuc: Add some weblines and put a few more shades of colour in and that'd be really good.

I'm not so sure about the weblines, the sprite is only about 100x100 so it's quite hard to keep them thin and apart from eachother. Maybe I'll have a go at it and post an update.

I kept the color count low on purpose, maybe I'll add more shading, too, but don't count on it.

It's hard not to get discouraged after BB's Hellboy...

Well, here's my entry:

2x, 8 colors

Edit:

2x, 14 colors

Aaight, much better. I didn't remove the 1st one for reference.
Thanks for the advice, guys!

I've got a question, too:
How can I make it that the player character looks like he's walking across the screen? I'm really stuck.

-Well, you have to use walk frames.

Oh great, I'll try that!
