Critics' Lounge / Re: Need help with team logo
Thu 27/07/2006 02:42:07
Since you said the Dogma Day was modeled after the book of Revelation, why not have something from the book itself?

Maybe you can make it an active logo. One that appears in an animation on the screen. Like the four horsemen, for example, could bring the logo on the screen, and then the sword slashes through.... something.

Or maybe the O in Dogma could be a red moon?

Just some suggestions.

Side view # 3 is missing his arms!

His arms are missing in side view # 3, so that should be fixed. ^_^

i like the first ones light level i think the repaint is too light, but it has more detail

I agree. The second is too bright, but with much more detail. The background is good for the second though, as I said it's just a bit bright.

The Indian's eyes should be narrowed a bit more, to give him an angry sort of look, if that's what you're going for.
The way it is now, though, his eyes look surprised and his mouth looks to be set in a frown.

I like the pirate young lady, but what's that in her left hand?

Well, there will probably be strict laws similar to Asimov's 3 laws of robotics when we start making robots and cyborgs and whatnot.

We already HAVE laws for robotics. I saw it on the Colbert Report...  :P

Mad-Hatter.

Anyone who's seen Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" will immediately recognize my name as the host of the Mad Tea Party.
Anyone who's read the actual book by Lewis Carroll ("Alice's Adventures in Wonderland") will probably be a bit confused as the host was really the March Hare, and the character my name refers to was simply named Hatter (or 'Hatta" in "Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There").

Anyone who's not read the book or seen the movie would probably be wondering what I'm talking about.

"Mad-Hatter" describes me well enough... We're all mad, and I wear hats... from time to time.... (we're going to pretend the definition of a hatter is one who wears hats)

Thinking back on it, I should have just chosen the name from Douglas Adams'  "So Long and Thanks for All the Fish":

awww......  :'(

I got killed by Gnawler (in all it's 2 colored greatness)....

Excuse me if I seem a bit inexperienced, but why must the monsters only move when you press a button?
Can't you make it to where they move all on their own?

It is true that 90% of sequels suck really bad and are nothing but money grubbing (The Lion King III, Ocean's Fifteen, I Am Entirely Aware Of What You Did Last Summer, etc).

LOL

I agree entirely. ^_^

The Rumpus Room / Re: How did you find AGS?
Wed 26/07/2006 18:23:50

Acqua-Akumayo.

I was bored one day, so Ak suggested I try out AGS. I worked on a game for a few days before I got bored again, and he suggested I look around the AGS Boards for inspiration.

Now I'm helping him with story designing. ^_^ See? I'm contributing!

An old man is drving down a deserted driveway one day. He's speeding, too. Suddenly, the state trooper gets after him. Sirens flashing and what not, the two have a high speed chase for quite a while.
Finally, the old man decides to give up and pull over.

So, the state trooper walks up to his car and says, "It's Friday, the end of my shift, I'm late for dinner, but I'm in a pretty good mood. If you can give me ONE GOOD REASON why you were speeding, I'll let you off scot-free."

so the old man answers, "Twenty years ago my wife ran off with a state trooper.... I thought you were bringing her back."

I give it a 3/5, as well.

It was an interesting movie, and I can see how some people thought it was better and how others thought it was worse than the first one, but I think that the first one was a bit better.

The first one had a better storyline, I think. The second one had a good storyline, too, but the new characters introduced didn't seem to live up to the ones from the first film, and the ones who made a reappearance didn't seem like their old selves.

Overall, I give it a 3/5,

Presiding judge Ansarullah Mawlazezadah tells ABC News a medical team was checking the defendant, since the team suspects insanity caused Rahman to reject Islam.
:
:
The post-Taliban constitution recognizes Islam as Afghanistan's religion, and decrees that Islam's Sharia law applies when a case is not covered by specific legislation. The prosecutor says under Sharia law, Abdul Rahman must die.
:
:
The judge, however, holds hopes for a solution.Ã,  "We will ask him if he has changed his mind about being a Christian," Mawlazezadah says. "If he has, we will forgive him, because Islam is a religion of tolerance."

Well, that's interesting. I wouldn't think that deciding to believe in Christian beliefs is grounds for execution, even for the Taliban.

Ironically, though, Christianity beliefs and Islamic beliefs are similar (or so I've heard).

I don't recall Allah actually saying to kill people of a different religion, but you know how interpretation gets these days.

So... how do they carry out the Death Penalty in the Taliban? Strap a bomb to the judge's chest and blow up the court after he's found guilty?

The name's Mad-Hatter, and I'm 16 (the minimal age... Is it suspicious I said that unprovoked?)

The name should say all you need to know about my personality, but for those of you who haven't read Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", here's a bit about me:

I live in Arkansas (okay, so the book doesn't mention that...)
I'm a newbie (or that...)
My favorite color is green (hmmm.... lots of things the book hasn't mentioned!)
My favorite flavor is red...

Okay, being slightly serious (though not entirely):

I've not made any games on AGS yet, but I'm currently working on one. my friend advises me to keep it to myself til it's finished, though.
I'm a very good writer. I entered my first writing contest February 18, and I won first place. I enjoy writing and plan to become a famous author one day. And when I do, I'm gonna be a millionaire. And when I'm a millionaire, I'm gonna have a pool of Jell-O which I will most likely drown in at the young age of 85.
I've a very good sense of humor, too! Or at least, I think it's good. I don't really care what you think. Maybe that's why my friends are all losers? Well, at least I'M cool! Or at least, I think I'm cool. (that then leads into the 'I don't really care what you think' line, which then creates a vicious cycle... Like a washing machine.)

I intend on going to a college that I've got my eyes on, and am focusing on a Phd in Literature.
Professor Hatter has a nice ring to it, don't ya think? Well, I do. (and once again we have that washing machine-like vicious cycle)

So, if there's anything else you'd like to know about me, just PM me and ask!
