Hmmm... ooh I know a GREAT idea! For every special day of religious importance, AGS could refuse to load!

Don't waste your time. Please!  ::)

Thanks m0ds! Either no one took me seriously about scrapping my game or they don't care.  :-\

Either way I have not scrapped my game!

I'd rather continue singing about death and broken hearts...

AGS Games in Production / Re: In Development

Didn't we have something like that when joining the forum?

But yes, haha!

The backgrounds were pleasant, but the main character makes me want to punch him, sorry!

I looked at the bottle in the water and the description wasn't in english... so I was stuck and gave up.

If you were to work on a full game you could make something special!

Good graphics, some nice animation, but the seperate inventory idea became slightly annoying. (At first I thought it was cool though!)

If you were to adapt this into a full game, with more character to character interaction and a less shallow knight (Unless the squire was smarter than him) I could foresee a good game! The character designs I liked in particular!

Hey Darth! Maybe you should make those FORUM RULES glow neon lights around them or something so people will notice them!

I can't remember it was one of the first AGS games I ever played!

Is the answer you seek in this thread?

never again i say! I'm going to become a cold hearted arsehole from this day onwards!

Welcome to the cynical side, Darth Chicky! (Sorry I was watching star wars)

It was alright, but not only did I play 2 first, (thus increasing my expectations) but I didn't like the constant walking back and forth through the same locations over and over. (At the time.)

So in short, not one of my fave adventure games of all time. See?

*Reads only the very first email sent to chicky*

Bloody hell that sounds like it was taken from the "Nigeria's guide to writing con letters to people" book.

I would have ignored that email the second I had read it!

"Hello Seller" and "I am interested in your item" are clear tell tale signs of mass duplicated emails that they would send out to loads of people.

They don't even mention what the item is! They spelt Scotland wrong. If you were moving to another country I'm sure you'd have seen it spelt right by now.

*reads the rest* Strewth most of these emails they've sent you sound pre-fabricated. I bet they have a whole list of ready to send emails!

They try every psychological trick in the book, making you fell guilty about their 'son' not getting a laptop in time, and as previously mentioned the police threat.

I'm glad you weren't fooled in the end. I'd just report them and not speak to them ever again. To me it's so obvious that it's a con, I'm surprised it went as far as it did.

Please be more vigilant! Ã, :o

EDIT: you've just posted something and i have yet to read it...

Aww sweet! He struggled with the low note, but I'm just being fussy.

I hope M0ds makes another game song entitled "My game is being scrapped!"

(I'm not saying anything about m0ds, I don't even know if he's actually making a game!)

SCRAPPED

"I'm going to scrap my game,
it was rather lame,
I'd only drawn one animation frame,
and the music all sounded the same,

You'll never play what I created,
In the critics forum the graphics were slated,
My artwork was underated,
And so the death of the game was fated,

I can draw so much more,
And now my game is a bore,
I want to start anew before-
I think of something better to draw."

Without critiscm would this be the finished picture?

I like the wall texture, but the floor texture, although cool, looks like a flat 2D image imposed onto something with perspective... if you get what i mean.

To be quite frank, the books are in some places, quite sloppy and need of having straighter lines.

You have not painted in several areas and left them.

The painting (?) above the bookcase needs it's strings to be touching the frame. It looks like it's hanging by one thread.

You've left mistakes like lines going past the actual object. Would it kill you to tidy them up?

The books that are exactly the same colour as the back of the bookcase need to be a different shade of red, and they are currently floating in the air.

You have potential, you will improve, I can tell you are new to drawing backgrounds for computer games.

(Sorry if i sounded harsh)

EDIT: I just saw your effort in MSPaint and your characters are well drawn! I like the style there.

Indeed - It's a woman, but it's a man writing! This creeps me out.

(Although you probably meant for other reasons?)

Yeah Mills, some FPS games do require brain power!

I'm thinking though more along the lines of Deus Ex, where you would think logically about how to, say.. deactivate an electric trip wire that sets off an explosion upon impact:

Shoot it from afar?

Disable it by tapping into a nearby computer?

Find a ventilation shaft that goes around it?

Chuck an object at it to set it off?

Put a crate next to it and jump over the tripwire?

And postal 2 had...uhhh... fetching milk?

Gee, you went to all that trouble to post that drawing of yourself, (nerd!Ã,  :P) and nobody says anything!

So I have. There. (I still feel like I'm talking to the doctor though)

May as well post a decent photo of myself then while I'm here - minus my teddy bear.

Whoops, i gel my hair now, so it's not all fluffy like shown here!
