Phil, dude, don't give up.  All of us welcome whatever effort an AGSer puts forth.  Not enough people in this world have the skill, time, or patience to create something.  Don't give up so easily.

Can you show us some screenshots or sprites or music or something you have made for this game?

I think I've fallen madly in love with Phil.

I just decided that I like babies.  Never mind everyone.  Go babies!  More offspring for all!

That's a really good idea.  A best n00b game award.  Only eligible candidates are those for whom it's their first game.  That way, all the awards aren't stolen by seasoned AGS veterans.  I propose we add that to next year's AGS Awards.

Non-English AGS games certainly don't get enough recognition (as LucasFan mentioned).  I wish there was a better way to handle this.  Would anyone be interested in mass-translating German AGS games into English? (heh)

There is, indeed, most assuredly NOTHING wrong with having oversized hindquarters.  If you haven't kept up on the times, big booties are IN!  You can't shake a little booty as well as a big booty, and trust me, booty-shaking is becoming more and more important in our society.

I've already taught my 11-month-old this crucial fact.  You should see her shake her booty whenever we turn on music with a good beat.  It's screamingly funny and disgustingly cute.

Seriously, though, I can see why people find babies annoying.  Oh gosh, sometimes I can't stand other people's kids.  I mean, WTF?  When I go out in public, I don't want to see all these monstrous creatures from the deepest darkest recesses of hell running around screaming and crying and demanding things from their parents and not watching where they're going so you practically trip over them as you're just walking along minding your own business but then you do trip and the kid starts screaming and you get yelled at and blamed for it because, after all, it's just a "poor little kid" who doesn't know anything and YOU should've been watching where you were going!

Plus, some people shouldn't be allowed to spawn offspring, as THEIR kids ruin life for OUR kids.  Here I am, trying to teach my daughter good moral values, how to behave, how to be polite.  But what's the point?  As soon as she gets old enough to go to school, all my years of effort will be negated when she encounters and MAKES FRIENDS WITH the lying, snobbish, ill-mannered, miscreants of juvenilism coming from broken homes that plague the schools.  So quite simply, if these kids are running around screwing things up, it's OTHER PEOPLE'S fault, not mine.  THAT'S what bugs me.

I like fat women.  They're chubby, flabby, beefier, and there's more to hug, squeeze, and cuddle with.  I wish my wife was fatter.  I keep trying to stuff doughnuts and fried chicken down her throat, but she just won't fatten up.

It's good to always have a fat person along.  If your plane crashes and you get stranded in the Himalayas without food, the fat person will be the first to go because of heart problems and lack of oxygen, and there'd enough meat on old' Tubby to feed a village.  He'd/she'd be a hero.  So next time you see a fat person, just think: "That big larda§§ could save my life one day, as well as the lives of those around me."

This has to be the COOLEST game I've ever seen.  You're a master, a visionary, and until the day I die I will follow you and worship at your feet, begging for scraps, morsels of enlightenment originating in the vast reaches of your cranial bubble and pouring forth like a psychadelic stream of blissful sunshine from your oral orifice.  You speak to me, you give me hope, and your game, in some magnificent, glorious, incomprehensible way, fills my life with complete, utter, and total meaning.  Thank you, Ched.  Thank you.  I will forever be your humble, loyal, ardent disciple.

Perhaps we should make our own console, the AGS-Box, and then burn our AGS games on to CDs/DVDs.  This way, we can all enjoy our AGS games on a big-screen television.

Is there an electronics specialist out there?

I'd have to say Poltergeist, in it's masterfulness, is one of the scariest movie series ever made.  Regardless of the fact that the special effects were magnificent for its time, it truly instills a sense of chronic fear in you for the duration of each movie.  THAT'S what makes a movie scary...not just if there's a few parts where you jump (and possibly scream) during the movie, but if just watching it makes you feel sick to your stomach, because the overall theme is so frightening.

Very beautiful, Peter Thomas.  You really paid attention to the idea of "chronicling" a journey.  The song you wrote truly tells a story.

Beautiful graphics Minimi.  I like your style.  I think the second graphic could use more in the foreground, but overall very nice.

I'm looking forward to everyone's games, because no matter what everyone here puts forth good effort and it's always a great thing to be able to play what someone else poured their heart and soul into.

There are favorites, of course.  At the top of the list:

..,~'' Apprentice 2 ''~,..

And close runner-ups:

Bestowers of Eternity, part 2
Indiana Jones and the Fountain of Youth
Quest for Glory 2: Trial by Fire (VGA)

Okay, so the XBOX isn't plausible.  How about the Gameboy Advance?  ::)

Okay, on a more serious note, PhilRoberts: I know we all encourage you to develop your game and all, but if you haven't realized, many people are used to seeing projects fail after just a few months of development.  Perhaps you should work on a few screenshots, some character design...you know, something to get everyone interested and excited about your project first.

Also, my personal recommendation is that you save voice actors for the last, after you've made the entire game.  People probably don't want to spend their time providing voices for something they're not even sure will be completed.

I really like your texturing style!

Which program(s) do you use for the 3d models?
