and so does the breakfast club

Thank god I'm not the only one who thinks so. I don't understand everyone's love affair with a movie that is 90% annoying crying and whining and 10% unrealistic, annoying dialogue, and add another 10% of whining for good measure.

That's 110% of sucking!

uggg god.. moxie.... so gross

its like licorice with cocacola on acid

I think you put it too gently. It's like unsweetened, bitter licorice with stale, flat coca cola on bad acid.

My avatar is a sprite version of myself on the job. For a time I had a creepy picture of Carrot Top as a clown, and before that was my classic Lesko avatar. None of them have any cool stories behind them, unfortunately.

Ben, have you ever had Moxie? My parents used to know this lady who would force Moxie upon us everytime we'd go to visit her. She'd declare "It's Moxie, from Maine!!" quite often. It was quite disgusting.

I always thought RE's avatar was a squirrel in a detective's hat, too. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Pestilence: Charade and Breakfast at Tiffany's are also in colour.

...Darn it all to heck!!

I guess this proves that I pay attention to more things that just what color the movie is in, which somehow makes me cooler than everyone else.

North By Northwest is also in color.

Aw, cookies. You're right. I kept wanting to put color movies on, like The Court Jester and The African Queen, and I completely forgot that North by Northwest is a color film too.
#646
Oh man...I'll probably forget a lot, because I love so many... Lesse... There's The Maltese Falcon, of course... North by Northwest, Charade, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Sabrina, Lost Horizons, We're No Angels...I know I'm forgetting a lot, but that's a pretty good idea of the kind of classic movies I love.

Sorry, you impatient ninnys! I've been sick and I almost forgot that it was the 7th.

It was a very hard decision because there were some totally awesome entries this week, but I think that the one I liked the best and made best use of colors was PureghostGR's Carnival Sword. This has to be one of the best sprite jams I've seen, and that's not just because I hosted it.

Halloween is a Christian holiday that was created to draw people away from the pagan holiday to celebrate the equinox or the solstice or whatever the hell it is that happens in fall called Samhain. Nowadays, all it means is dressing up and eating candy. It has no religious meaning.

Minimi, if you don't like this thread, don't read it. Simple as pie. Please don't ruin everyone else's fun by posting 'this thread must be locked!!'

Now I'm off to eat candy.

Well now, hello sprite jam contestants! Welcome to this week's sprite jam. I do hope you enjoy it.

Now, as a pirate, I'm a big fan of swords. I mean, who isn't? I mean, I bet secretly Charleton Heston loves him some swords, but he's all "Dude, I love guns!" to hide it. But he doesn't need to hide it. We'll still love him.

So this week's topic is, of course, Charleton Heston. ...Wait, I mean swords. The topic is swords.

The specs must be thus! 23 colors enter, 100 x 30 sized pictures leave! The dimensions can be either 100 x 30 or 30 x 100, doesn't matter which direction, and 23 colors is just the maximum, it can be less. Sure it seems simple, but you can totally get inventive with it.

The more inventive, the better. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
#650
Yay! I didn't really enter to win, but how can I not like winning? Time to think up a topic...

I promise to try very hard to get to Mittens, mainly because I do not want eric to swallow my soul (I need it!). I have the same problem Dragonrose has, what with being a girl going to visit males I have never met in person before. My mom thinks me going would be fun, but my dad's quite a bit more paranoid about me.

Money is the only other big issue. I'm unsure of where I'll be in a year or so, school or job-wise. I would start saving up now, but I have no form of income and you can't save up nothing and turn it into gold, now can you!

It is a rainbow bug with the magical ability to sing people to sleep! It is useful for when you get insomnia.

That's a start, but it really needs MMORPG support with internet multiplayer fragging. I'm not going to use AGS until you add these things.

Allow me to reply using my Make1337 command:

omg deliberate_ur l@m3 kthxdie!!11!

QuoteNone of you would've been able to make any games if I hadn't made AGS!

Yeah, I wanted to ask you about that. Why doesn't AGS support lens flare? Or 4xSAA?

How come I can't create my game in 1600x1200? It seems rather lacking to me, you need to spend more time making it good.

I'm working on a version right now that not only does all that, but it has a Make1337 command that will turn every dialogue in your game into 1337-sp33k!

Here's an example:
Original - "I'm Guybrush Threepwood and I'm a mighty pirate!"
After the Make1337 command - "sup d00sdz im [GB]3-3pwud n im 4 1337haxx0rz omfg u sux loloollloz"

It'll revolutionize adventure games as we know it.

Completed Game Announcements / Re:Pilot Light

I just got around to playing this game tonight. It has definately made it into my favorite AGS games. I knew it would the minute I started playing.

The art, the animation, the humor. It was all really nicely done. I liked the puzzles, because they were easy, but not so easy as to be dissapointing. And those were some great cutscenes. The lack of music doesn't bother me in the least, because it didn't really need it. Some music sets the mood for a game, but this game set the mood using other elements, like dialogue and art, enough to work well without music.

I am definately looking forward to more games from you. So you'd better make more.

I only have two pictures of me as little. I thought I had three, but enjoy the two I have, or die.

Here's me with a teething cookie that for some very weird reason looks like bacon. I'm probably around 9 months old or something. I can never tell.

And here's a picture that my uncle once did a painting of. I'm about 4 or 5 in this picture.

That's all I got. It should be enough for the likes of you!!1!
