The more of things like these I do, the less people will ask me to do voice acting, hopefully. It is my devious plan to prove to people that I do not have a pleasant voice and cannot read lines well to save my life!

Pestilence does... Men.

And I mean that in the documentary sense.

I should write a book!

"The Way of the Groin: A Study of Human Nature".

Alright, alright, alllllright. Here I am, to be most helpful once again.

I would have to say Terran has a good point. You really should watch how she acts with her friends. If she just treats them as friends and doesn't act like there's anything more there I say it's not worth worrying or being bothered by, but if she's the type of gal to be all stupid and flirty with them, you should talk to her. Seriously. If I would ever be bothered to date someone, I would be bothered if he were bothered about any of my male friends, mainly because that would mean he wouldn't trust me. And if it's not her you'd be worried about and more her friends thinking about her in a non-just-friends kinda way, I say deal. If that's what your worried about, then you won't want her around ANY other guys ever, 'cause (no offense to anyone) people think about other people, even ones that they might just happen to see while walking to work or something, like that ALL THE TIME. It's just human nature. Take an inventory about all the women YOU might have glanced at and thought "Hey, she sure is purdy!" or some such nonsense while being with her. That's just how people are and you really shouldn't worry about it.

And if that's not helpful, you're not reading it correctly!!

I really like originality in games, the ideas, the way they're set up and all, and I'm insanely stubborn when I set my mind to something like that (unless I'm feeling particularly lazy that day), so I probably wouldn't just dismiss it as not worthy of my attention.

Also, as eric mentioned, I would spend a lot more time on an AGS (or other amateur) game than a commercial game, but I give both a fair amount of chance before dismissing it.

After fighting with making a screencap of the game for this and consistantly failing, a kindly fellow by the name of ErzatzYak gave me the important picture needed. And now I bring you "Thinking of Richard Longhurst" by Frida Kahlo:

If you're looking for good anime, I have two words for you: Cowboy Bebop. Only anime I bothered buying every episode of (on VCD for $20 for the whole series plus the movie, but still).

This is the one I've been trying out. So far it seems totally rockin'. I have not been using it long enough to get proficient, but it's not hard to figure out what to do.

I can't say I'm too pleased with the resulting oversaturation of ^__^ style smilies.

Not to mention "Furries."

You can't totally blame either on females. Men have their hands in the ^_^ and "furry" influx in internet society, too. I know first hand that this is true!

Anyway, huge yay for more female game developers. It's always nice to see more, especially since we are so few and far between. We're like dodo, except the opposite of extinct.

Your game sounds nifty, Coffee Lady. I shall play it when it is finished, verily.

Lucas Arts DID make Grim Fandango (I hear it's a faboo 3d game), Steve Purcell is part of the S&M2 team and they have the same voice actors. I have high hopes. I am not going to say it sucks just because it is 3d, just as I am not going to say the new Full Throttle is going to suck.

I'm just happy that Lucas Arts isn't giving up on their adventure games like Sierra did.

Besides the ones mentioned (what was with that save function in KQ7? Otherwise I liked it a lot), I'd have to say Fable. That game had so many spots that it could've branched out and done way more with, but it was just a straight way through, without any deviations. If there were more to it, it would've been a really good game, but as it is, it's sub-par and I'd say wasn't really worth buying. My sister and me finished it in one day. Bleh.

I remember my family getting stuck for days in KQ5, where you need to get out of the forest. We eventually called the hintline. It took us such a long time to get through the rest of the game. Before the Internet, adventure games were so much more challenging. One day I should get back to basics and unhook my network cable so even if I'm tempted to cheat, I won't.

Being stuck for ages in a game is better than finishing it in an hour, in my opinion.

I think the 3D looks amazingly well done, especially compared to certain other 3D 'adventure' games. The trailer is great (does anyone know if they got the same voice actors? Sure sounds like it) and I have the feeling that although it's in 3D, it won't be some sort of Tomb Raider-y crap that has been passed off as 'adventure' before, but instead an actual point and click sort of game.

Here's hoping they have a new, improved version of highway surfing!

Take a looksee at my avatar, then imagine a room filled to the brim with the subject of said avatar. Put a spiny rock in the middle of it and chain me to it. Pump in "muzak" over the loud speakers, as well as a healthy mix of several painful musicians (whom I will not name so as to not make angry any fans of them). Mix with a healthy blend of a constantly itchy-yet-unitchable nose, and shake. Then you'll have my hell, as close as I can figure it as of this moment.

Igor: Most of her foot is covered in the pants flare, so that's just the tip of her toe. Underneath that she has a fully formed foot.
cpage: Sure, but I'd like to see this Big Page O' Nuts, because it sounds super fun!
evil: Her nose is perfect! Shu' up! Anyway, I'm planning on coloring her eventually myself, but if you really want to deal with that sketchy mess, be my guest.

Everyone else, thankeyewness. Now I must go do blechy things like work.

<BlueCup> YOW!!  I'm in a very clever and adorable INSANE ASYLUM!!

She is indeed.

Any mention to any sort of disproportional anatomy will make me cry. Just a head's up. If you mention her large eyes, I'll start yelling about how they're fine until someone slaps me. Just another head's up.

Otherwise, yay.

I haven't read much of anything lately except new age stuff. Wicca type books mostly. I haven't been able to shake my childhood fascination with withcraft. I read one self help book called Van Goe Blues which was complete bullshit. I think I got it for christmas. It's supposed to offer advice for depressed existantial artist types. If found it dry and stupid.

I also read through The Big Book of Knitting, The Ultimate Cross-Stitch Reference (or whatever it is), a large book of Grimm's Fairytales, another large book of American folk tales, Sewing 101 (gonna make me an apron ;))..

I think the last fictional book I read was Phil's, which I enjoyed immensly. He did a very good job using 200+ pages to tell us a guy was a loser. ;) I also read The Golden Compass, The Silver Knife, and whatever that other book is fromt hat trilogy, I reread Mysts of Avalon, Winnie-ther-Poo, The Inkeeper's Song by Peter S. Beagle, and Magic Kingdom for Sale, Sold (about the only Terry Brooks book I enjoy).

I have yet to finish the gormengast trilogy. I'm still only halfway through the second book. It's very tough reading for me.

The only Gaiman thing I've read is Neverwhere. While I enjoyed the story, I found the writing atrocious. There were some very clumbsy sentances in there. I haven't read any Discworld. I once owned one of the novels, but I was still pretty young and didn't get into it.

The third book in "His Dark Materials" was "The Amber Spyglass". A great trilogy indeed.

I am glad to know that I'm not the only one who knits or is interested in knitting, even though I have not done it in months.

Yay for Vonnegut. Everyone who loves his work should read "Bluebeard". It's probably my third favorite next to "Sirens of Titan" and "Cat's Cradle".

Pesty: Ooo! Xanth! The Xanth books are what really got me hooked on British Fantasy (yeah, I know Piers Anthony lives in the States, but he writes like a zany British writer).  If you like his stuff, you HAVE to read Tom Holt.  He's my current fave.

I love Tom Holt. Years ago my mom bought Flying Dutch, which we both loved but have since lost it. We are very sad about it still. His books are impossible to find, at least where I've lived. I'd give anything to find more.
