Terminator 2: Judgement Gay
#22

After running almost completely out of ideas, the folks at Indie Game Knockoff Network decided to release the breath-taking, inspiring "Super Nario".
With compelling gameplay, and a story that can only be described as COMPLETELY ORIGINAL featuring characters that are absolutely, one hundred percent COMPLETELY ORIGINAL. Travel through the world fighting COMPLETELY ORIGINAL enemies and rescuing the COMPLETELY ORIGINAL princess from COMPLETELY ORIGINAL castles.
The game, praised for it's COMPLETELY ORIGINAL approach, sold extremely well, eventually going down as #3 on the "Top 100 COMPLETELY ORIGINAL Games", beaten only by the COMPLETELY ORIGINAL "Quarter-Life" and COMPLETELY ORIGINAL GAME OF THE YEAR "Chronic The Porcupine".

Obi deserves First, Second and Third place for that entry, as well as a backrub, a decades supply of Red Bull and a card entitling him to obtain a blowjob from anyone he presents beforementioned card.

Critics' Lounge / Some lyrics

Fluke here with a new handle (sigh) and some new stuff for critique :)
I wrote these lyrics yesterday and have been trying to work on em a little.
They're pretty straightforward. Anyway.

'tie-dyed'
written by blake gallagher

she looks out at what seems to be
broad social trends and other fascist regimes
the lights go out and suddenly there's only darkness,
and lies, and sickeningly sweet death threats.
she dries her eyes only to turn left and be approached
by a man in a trenchcoat with the almighty dollar tied to his chest
he comes closer oh so casually and whispers 'trust me honey, i'm the best'

so i walk up and say 'buddy wanna trade shirts?
mine's tie-dyed, ha ha'
and he's just got this blank stare like he's seen just seen a ghost
or worse, revolutionism in action
cause see it doesn't fit his routine, caffeine, squeaky clean nicotine
point of view, and nothing else does either.

broad social trends, to whom the lust of power is their best friend.

Cheers,

General Discussion / Re: Anyone play guitar?

@Oliwerko:
When i first started playing i had one or two very basic beginner lessons from a friend, and then i just started teaching myself for a few months.
I then started getting lessons and my playing picked up dramatically.
I would not be able to play to the level I can today if not for these lessons.

Yeah, i saw the trailer a while ago and was pretty impressed.
Let's hope they can do the whole "Angels and Demons" dream idea right,
and that it shall do the games the justice they deserve.

So i'm working on the above midi and trying to maybe make it a little longer and work on it a bit, but so far I haven't really been able to expand too much.
And I know the percussion is, well. Boring, but when i put other percussion in it sounds to me like it's taking over too much, and I'd like the focus to be on the guitar and piano.
So if anyone has any crits or comments, that'd be great.
Thanks.

I'm well aware it was over.

Not an entry, obviously.

http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/work_in_progress.mid

so up there is a link to something i've been working on today.
i'm kind of liking the direction it's taking, but i worry that it resembles "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin too much to be considered even remotely original.
I should point out that this is the basis for a track my band and I are working on, and I've obtained the .mid from working in Guitar Pro, so it's easily editable.
I'm trying to go for a pretty tense-feeling track, i wouldn't mind making it a little darker if possible, but my main gripe, like i said above, is with the similarities to Stairway, and how i could recitify these.
Thoughts and critiques appreciated,
[evol].

You folks should come over here to Aussieland sometime, we have some great music festivals.
At this year's Big Day Out we had RATM, BATTLES. I think Björk was attending but cancelled for some reason or another.
And then Soundwave, which I attended, was great too, we had The Offspring, Incubus, Killswitch Engage, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Mindless Self Indulgence, eh.

In conclusion, our country r betterZ than urzzz!1!!eleven.  ;D

'Champagne Supernova' by Oasis (it sorta counts, right?)
'Alive' by Pearl Jam
'Sick Sick Sick' by Queens of the Stone Age
'Paranoid Android' by Radiohead
'Girl, You Have No Faith In Medicine' by The White Stripes

So i couldn't really pick...<_<

Apparently Carlin is in hell, right now.
This was made on the 24th of June, 2008. So, yesterday.
These radical bastards made this video TWO DAYS after Carlin passed away.
The act in itself is despicable enough, but to not even allow for mourning is horrendous.
I'm sure if the deceased were among us to respond, he'd make quite the Motherfucker Cocksucker Shitfuck Piss-Tits of Phelps.
Ugh.  >:(
