I did, but the post was so vague and unanswered until the VERY LAST few posts on their forums.

Ah, problem solved.

Tried, couldn't find a solid answer  :P
Shouldn't my Norton Anti-Virus be able to detect this?
It's a fairly new edition.

Okay, so when my PC starts up, a small bar down the bottom of the screen says 'Norton is running a check on "wuredir.cab.bak".
Now, at first i wasn't worried, but then i remembered reading a PC magazine that said something about the "wuredir.cab.bak" thing in the virus section of the mag.
So, is this Wuredir.cab.bak file a problem?
Cheers.

Okay, Winner Time!!!
They all made me smirk/laugh/etc., and here are my opinions:
theatrx Hehe, not bad, like the little touch of the Jolly Roger :)
Mr. Buckéthead Interesting, like the whole "hat-as-a-shirt" idea.
lilemX Looks awesome, the purple bow is a nice touch
monkey_05_06 Heehee, satire...
Obi For some odd reason this reminds me of a muppet.

Winners
1st Place - monkey_05_06
This made me laugh :)
2nd Place - lilemX
Probably the most high-quality one there.
3rd Place - Obi
monkey_05_06 gets to start the next round, as well as this extremely rare golden hatpin!

Cheers,
Fluke.

Anyone else like this guy's music?

I heard the song 'Go' a while back and thought it was pretty awesome :)

I saw a report on the news about this with Jack Thompson, and he's blaming it on videogames, however this WAS in the early stages of the aftermath.
Once again, very sad.

Since the last competition's winner has not created a new Ball in a month, i felt like I'd do it, get back to mah' roots and whatnot. Anyway, this ball's theme is "The Hat Of Awesomeness". For bonus points, the sprite should relate to the theme of "Hat of Awesomeness", which is this - create the most incredible, mind blowing, senses-shattering hat you can think of.

No limits on colours.
Slight adding of things such as flowers/etc. allowed.
Here's one to get you started.

Hehe, patriotism.

General Discussion / Slipknot 2008?
Sat 14/04/2007 11:06:04
So it turns out Slipknot are going to be starting work on a new album late this year, and a new album out sometime between Q1 and Q2 2008. This excites me for two reasons. Firstly, ofcourse the album, which hopefully will follow 'The Subliminal Verses's sort of different approach to their music. Secondly, the possibility of a global tour of some sort.
Anyway, post your thoughts.

Flukezy.

Ah. Well, my bad.  ;D

Thought i'd tie up a few of their misconceptions
Quote from: MAVAV
'textspeak', an awful slang language spoken by a subculture of underground gamers and computer hackers.
Uh, i thought every PC user under the sun uses (at least occassionally) textspeak?
Quote from: MAVAV
clans and guilds, an underground video game phenomenon which closely resembles gangs
Yeah, my 1337 clan of night elves recently robbed a bank. WE ARE TEH HARDC0R3!!!

E3: Evil Entertainment Expo
Indeed. They show such evil vile games as Animal Crossing, and Mario Galaxy. THE INSIDIOUSNESS OF IT ALL!!!

A large portion were argumentative rebuttals sent in by feral teenage gamers
I'm sorry, "feral" teenage gamers? I haven't felt this offended since Daikatana was released!

Though i enjoyed this article Good ol' Penny Arcade :).

Okay, so, i came across this site the other day, and I, as a gamer, felt damn offended.
Some of the interesting articles they had on offer included Textspeak linked to violent games and Burning Crusade goes Gold- Threat Level RED!!! .
Oh, and let's not forget some worshipping of the almighty Jack Thompson!
And, as per usual of sites such as this, it's all made almost viewable by badly-done Photoshop images that appear to be done by some sort of 3-year old.
Does anyone else dislike the media image of games?
Well, discussion/rant session open,
Cheers,

Has anyone seen this yet? It's only been out for a little while in the US and won't be out for another eight days here in Australia. It's about the Persian invasion of Sparta by King Xerxes and his men, something i find extremely interesting. I haven't read the graphic novel, but if it's anything like the Graphic Novel-to-Film adaptation of Sin City, it should be pretty damn good!

Thought i'd post this before i put it up on the main site:

Yellow is so passeÃ,  ;D

Things I've Changed :

-Various backgrounds
-Bigger outline size (this wasn't based on your post, just something i thought i should add)
-Tried to vary the emotion (haven't really gotten this right yet though)
-Changed speech bubble shape
-Changed font

Things I've Kept (and why):
-Panel Shape: I really wanted to keep the square panel. It just makes it look a little more sophisticated, and a lot of webcomics use it [Penny Arcade, VGCats (sort of), CAD].
-No "Dynamic" background : Don't worry, i've taken this advice and will use it, but i didn't feel this strip justified any particular anger/happiness etc.

And that's about it.
Cheers,
Flukezy.
