I don't know if anybody else is counting Anime...but

X : Beautiful graphics but horrible confusing story with stupid ending. I can understand killing off maybe one or two characters ...but everybody? Geeze.

Ok , back to non-Anime movies -

This is also why I hate The Cube : Everybody that was trapped inside died.  Horrible.

I love The Cell though ,  it has an interesting story and the "inside mind worlds" are amazing. She's so beautiful and a great actress , I'm surprised people would hate anything with her in it.
I can't remember what other movies she's been in though...I think Tomb Raider? I don't know about the latest TR movies since I haven't seen them yet but TR1 was pretty good , except for the part where the statues came to life...they could've worked harder on the special effects to make that sequence believable.  But the robot battle at the start was great.

I just watched The Cat In The Hat the other day and am very disappointed. Really stupid movie. I think Mike Myers is funny in other stuff but he was mostly just annoying in this movie.
The rest of the cast was great! Also I felt as though alot of the jokes were way too adult for something that should've been a kids movie in the first place  or not really very funny at all.
I loved How The Grinch Stole Christmas , though.

I don't know if it was because it was an older version or what , but the first demo I played , the scroll ( that's what I mean by menu ) thing ....on that...things were a pain to find and click ....it was like the words were too close together and too big.
So it was a pixel hunt to find and click what I wanted to click.
Now it isn't. I'm not sure why.

Although I am pretty crappy at games , I am offering to help beta test because I try my best to look at all possible solutions ( ie if a fish is stuck in a frozen pond you can blow up the water if it's a comedy game or you could try something to cut the ice if it's some other type of game and if there's more than one way to crack a frozen pond...well, that's even better)  and love clicking randomly. *laughs*

Website Design
I have not been able to do a  professional looking site yet , ( I can't do Perl ) , but if you are busy creating the game and don't want to bother with a website yourself , I can do a basic site for you , I know a bit about HTML and DHTML because I have my own website which I have worked on by myself.
I can do tables and maybe basic
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) .

Art
I have some ability in this since I've tried my hand at it and of course it's a nessicary part for quite a few things I'm interested in. It just depends on what you want.
I am not a professional but I love working with graphics.
Please consider me for some projects!

Proofreading and Story Design
I'm pretty good at spotting spelling mistakes and like others , I can help make your words "flow" better if you have problems
with sentence structure.
Although I sometimes have trouble with plots and story ideas myself , for the most part I consider myself pretty creative in this department. 

Voice Acting
I don't know if merely wishing to be a voice actress would truely count as help , but it'd be cool if I could voice act for a game someday.  I f you need somebody to speak a little German or Valley Girl , ect. then please consider me.

Right now I don't really have anything to help me make music ,  but in the future I'd love to get the chance to make music for games.  I barely know how to animate anything so I'm still learning that , sorry. I hate script coding but I'm trying to learn it. I am also still learning how to use AGS myself so I don't feel as though I'd be much help when it comes to tutorials.
I'm into alot of stuff so I apoligize in advance for any slowness on my part , so you should probably contact somebody else if
you need somebody to finish things right away.

I've been messing a bit with AGS while reading the beginner's tut.
I hate coding.
Here's that screenshot I promised , I know it must look odd since it got pixelated from changing it so that it's in 256 color mode but I like it that way too. I didn't want to lose too much quality so I'm sorry it's not any smaller.  I know how to get it to work as a room but only for a high resolution , even in 256 color mode i think I had problems with some things I tried ...I personally like the look of the cartoony stuff against a photographic-quality pic ...I don't do 3D so how would you feel if I wanted my game to be a mix of photographic and "cartoony" quality graphics? I know higher resolutions aren't ok for cartoony stuff but since it would be a mix , I'd need to have the game in high resolution mode just so it doesn't mess up the look of the photographs.  If I remember correctly , Dada used a mix of mediums ( photography and painting or something ) so I hope that people like this idea too. I enjoyed Dada very much but I'm not very good at making realistic / professional looking backgrounds so I'd prefer to use photos and such for the backgrounds.  I consider myself ok at making characters and such though.

This is sad. I don't really know any other newbies and the only other newbie I even bothered to pm hasn't sent a reply back.
Hey , anyone know how often Gravity checks his pms? I've sent him a little note recently and that probably makes my second one and he seemed to be saying that it's ok to pm him so I was wondering why he hasn't replied yet. *laughs*

Great news! It has been a long time since I've drawn something like it , but the "perspective" BG templates I've made thus far are looking good , even though they have no extras to make 'em mighty fine ala screenshot in the usual "previews" way....the skeletons /
barebones are looking good!
*happy* I just remembered a tutorial I had skimmed over and I was trying to imitate the two pictures by memory and it worked! Well , the second one is a bit different from the second in the tut. but it still looks good.  I didn't even use photograph / desktop wallpaper for BG ...I am doing this stuff pixel by pixel with mouse! ( I have a wacom but my stylus is packed away somewhere and the wacom needs a new plastic cover thingie anyway....arg...why are those things so easy to dirty and tear up? Wacom takes a bit of getting used to anyway and even wacom can be hard for me.  )

Naw , man , it's ok..just...please make it easier next time ,  in Quest For Glory they had a great dagger mini game , if you can imitate that without it looking like a rip off or something , that would be great.

Heh. I love microwaves , toasters are special in their own right but you can heat up nearly anything with a microwave and it's easier / not as annoying and time consuming as using an oven or stove top , and toasters can only heat up toast and things like pop tarts.
I also love fridges , provided they're working correctly ( mine had a problem with milk and stuff for a while...only the freezer would work well but it would ice up to o much...everything's fine now though ) .

FYI , not everyone can get some things right away , it
took me a while just to figure out the first part
because I had skimmed over the included manual and
even when I tried to do what the book told me to ,
nothing would happen. Then with help from the AGS
"oldies" I eventually got it and then ...like the guy
says..nothing special happens if you try to do the
spell you found from the light source...that's the
end. I'm disappointed that I had so much trouble with
the game and that it was so short , but
some people are just bad at games. I consider myself
pretty intelligent and creative but often I have
problems in games , usually because either A.
Everything I try doesn't work ( the programmer didn't
create enough solutions or got lazy ...ect. ) or B.
The first few levels are ridiculously hard.
However , in this case , it's mostly my own fault for not trying hard enough the first time and being lazy about reading the manual.

offended you at all , *sighs* , I don't mean to , just
wanted to give you my two cents on the whole "that's

Woo hoo  , one of the few games I've been able to finish without ever reading a walkthrough or whining in here about problems! There were some points where I thought I was going to have to post but eventually got through it on my own. Great game.

have this funny thing about tomatos / tomatoes , I don't like them whole...sliced...or diced...but I love ketchup and I love tomato soup ...I especially love that soup with toast 'n cheese. Yummy.

Although it would probaby make it illegal , ( not that I would want that of course but just saying...*wink* ) , why bother to title a book "Monkey Island" if it isn't about monkeys , pirates , or islands?

I was never a big fan of South Park but like other people , I have mixed feelings about these new videos , 
it's sad , really , I can't even remember why I ever watched SP in the first place and what my favorite episode was.
And since I was never a big fan , eventually I stopped watching altogether.

Other notes :
The difference between "Asian" and "Oriental" ..."Asian" is what you'd call a person native to Asia , it's considered an insult to call one an Oriental. The food is what you'd call Oriental.  If I remember correctly , "Oriental" is also appropiate for describing culture.  So , "Asian" and "Oriental" could be describing culture but it's considered an insult to call Asians Oriental.

Most / all of the time , when you speak German , if you're trying to pronounce a word that starts with W , say it like it's V. In example , "auf weidersein" would be said some thing like "ow vee dah sane"

I forget what some phrases mean , for example....Habla.

I once saw on television that you say "Manga" like "Monga" instead of saying it like "Mainga" . I don't know how accurate it is but why would they lie about some thing like that? And you say "Anime" kinda like "Annie may" / "Anna may"

Valley girl is from the 80's.
I can't remember what movie supposedly started the phrase,
( probably had some thing to do with valley girls itself...lol ) ,
but it came to be a way to describe how most popular /
"dumb blonde" girls were like back then.
As another person stated , they talk kinda like this :

Like , totally gag me with a spoon , fer sure!

Valley girl logic :
Some people scream and run when they notice some body losing it ,
valley girls worry about your reputation / wether you'll get blood
on your dress or some thing equally silly. ( try looking up a valley girl
related song by a comedian and hopefully you'll find the
example of what I'm talking about...I can't remember the title
myself nor the comedian's name and don't feel like trying to find it myself right now )
