Well, in this case he was.  The answer was Candle.

New one:

Take a step backwards
And change what may be considered a pest
Into these.
#222
You got the first two right but not the third.   This answer to this one does make more sense.
#223
Correct.

Okay, back to the ones from the game:

1. It flies without wings,
Strikes witout beak, teeth or talons.
It has no eyes, in its pointed head,
But it can kill birds in flight.

2. Up and down they go, but never move...

3. He gets short when he gets old.
He goes out then it gets cold.

You'll find it on every tree,
It's a drink made for me
On a course it doesn't want to be struck
What is it?

QuoteWhich part of a clock is used?

Um, the face?

And since no one got the answer to What a dog does that a man steps in the answer is:

Spoiler
He "pants."

Okay, being on the right track...

Your bones?
#227
HA!  You got them BOTH wrong!  That's the beauty of these riddles.  They lead you in one direction, but the answers are in a totally different one.
#228
I'd say that the answer to the "Two eyes but no head" is "A Button."

The ones that live inside everyone are, "Your Organs."

As for two weird ones that I've heard:

1. A man does it standing up, a woman does it sitting down, a dog does it on three legs.

2. What does a dog do that a man steps in?
#229
QuoteWhat an interesting rule. Meaning, if the riddle is composed so that it may have 100 possible answers, the correct one is still the one... that was chosen in some game?

HA HA!  That's a good one!  Yes, it is odd but it was what I figured was needed.

The actual answer was "Eyes."  However, yes they are from Betrayal at Krondor and those are the answers I'm looking for.  Since we seem to have a pretty worthy riddle up, I'll leave off for now.
#230
Simple they were but you got one wrong.  The first one.  (Though your answer may technically be right, this is going off of the answers in the game).
#231
Okay, let me know when you get tired of these.

1. Be you ever so quick, with vision keen,
By your eyes, we are never seen.
Unless perchance, it should come to pass,
You see our reflection in a looking glass.

2. A precious gift, this, yet it has no end or beginning,
    And in the middle nothing.

3. Silently he stalks me, running as I run,
Creeping as I creep, dressed in black
He disappears at night, only to return with the sun.
#232
Very good.  Okay, three more:

1. The light one breaks but never falls.
His brother falls but never breaks.

2. You see it about in field and town,
It cannot get up, but will oft fall down.

3. Though easy to spot, when allowed to plume
It is hard to see, when held in a room.
#233
CLOSE!  That's VERY CLOSE.  However, that's not QUITE the answer to the riddle...
#234
Okay, the two answers I got are correct.  That last one still has to be solved since a new one is brought up.
#235
I'm somewhat wondering if everyone has the game already...  Oh well, here's a few of them:

1. Four legs in front, two behind.
Its steely armor scratched and
Dented by rocks and sticks
Still it toils as it helps feed
The hungry.

2. Though not a plant, has leaves.
Though not a beast, has spine.
Though many wouldn't need this thing,
'Tis more valuable than wine.

3. The chill of its death,
You may soon mourn.
But though it dies,
It cannot be born.
#236
*Sigh* I was really hoping they wouldn't be taken that quickly...

One pace to the North.
Two paces to the East.
Two paces to the South.
Two paces to the West.
One pace to the North.
#237
Wow!  That was FAST!

Okay, here's one that may take more time:

You remove and throw away the outside and cook the inside.  Then you eat the outside and throw away the inside.

What is it?
#238
Here's one that came from a game but I think it may be interesting.

"Brought to the table, cut and served, never eaten."
#239
Hmm... I get "hoo."  Maybe it's an owl?
#240
Well, since no one seems to be interested in this topic anymore I'll give the answer to the riddle:

Spoiler
Genie!  There were two genies seen by Graham (the father), the first in King's Quest 2 where it was helpful by granting needed items, the second in King's Quest 5 where he was just mean, "Ahh freedom at last, now you spend the next 500 years in a bottle!"  Then Alexander (the son) saw a genie Shamir Shamazel, who was mostly bad due to him following the orders of Alhazred but can be made good by Alexander.  However, neither Rosella nor Valanice ever saw a genie in their games.
