General Discussion / Evil Dead 4
Fri 16/04/2010 01:29:28
Hi all good peeps.

Just finished watching "Evil Dead 3- Army Of Darkness".

I have watched all three films... Many times before (Cos I love them) ;D

I did a bit of Googling and found that there is talk of an 'Evil Dead 4' where Bruce Campbell may have a cameo role.
Now I don't know if anyone here would agree with me...But.

After watching Mr Campbells facial features I couldn't but help to see Jim Carrey!!

I Think that he would make a fantastic 'Ash' in another 'Evil Dead' film.

Many kind regards.
Jay.

Hi Eddy_Kraft.

I would love to play your game.
However I can't download it. :(
Megaupload says that the file is temporarily unavailable.

Edit- Scratch that. I can now download it. Will let ya know what I think.

General Discussion / Re: Power DVD.

Hi all.

Isn't it just typical.
After defending Power DVD last night I have found that it Does crash my other comps. >:(
The same thing happens to all of them. Power dvd freezes and then locks the comp solid, not even able to move the mouse.

Think I will try VLC as suggested by you all.

Thanks.

Ok.

So no one here uses 'Power DVD' then. (nevermind, your loss.)

It works fine on my other five machines. It just falls over on this one (can't work out why.)

Thanks for your help.

Hi Stupot.

No. That is not bad.

Although with 'Power DVD' you can take screen shots of the film you are watching and save them to pics.
If you do many screen shots then you can make animations from them.

You can make an anim of someone walking, in a film, and study it to make walk cycles better.

Um, don't use Power DVD? There's plenty of other apps capable of playing DVDs. Try VLC.
Um, I have always used 'Power DVD' cos it's the best, supposedly. ;)

Hi all.

I have 'Power DVD' on my comp, cos I like films.
I have also had it on other computers that I have owned, all runing XP home and Pro.

All computers have suffered the same probs.
I pause the film, while I take a piss, and when I come back my comp has locked up, solid, and I need to restart.

I have the up-to date version, and ones before, but all cause the same prob.

Any thoughts?

Hi All.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has posted here for your help, sympathy for my friend or just your opinions.
Thanks Chicky for the kool'n Soothe. That's something she will have to try.
Thanks Auriond. I don't know if her probs are psychological or environmental. She does get extremely stressed in her job though and that may be the cause.
Perhaps a change will do her good. She has more tests with the hospital soon so maybe they can shed some more light on her ailment.

Stupot. All I can say is that you are most perfectly wrong.

Many thanks to you all.

Please.

I didn't mean to start an argument. :(

I just wondered if anyone could help. Thats all.

Thanks.

Hi Bulbapuck.

Thank you for your reply.

She has tried many medications from the pharmacist but none seem to help, other than to dull the pain slightly.
Also I would like to point out that she has had many examinations by, supposed, experts and all have said that she is fine.

I don't know what to do.

Thanks.
Jay.

Hi MrColossal.

Thank you for your reply.
I just wish I could do something to help when she is in so much pain.
I do the obvious things like close the curtains give her pain killers and massage her head, shoulders and neck.
This helps alot of the time but not always.

If anyone knows of another remedy then please help.

Thanks.
Jay.

Hi All and to all a Happy New Year.

A friend of mine suffers with pounding migranes and I wish I could help ease the pain.
Now a few years ago I heard that preasure points on the feet, when pushed or massaged, could cure headaches.
Is this true?

If so then I was wondering if anyone here knows how to do this and maybe give me a few pointers.
Maybe even point me towards a good web site dealing with this sort of thing.

Many thanks.

Hi all.

I was just wondering. How many other peeps here are working all through Christmas?

I have been working for a security company for over nine years now and have never had Xmas off.
This year they said I would be able to as they had taken on more workers...GREAT!

However. Just when I thought I may have a splendid time with my family, this year, they lost the contract.
To top all of this (with a big fat cherry).
The company has decided to palm me and my bro (who is also with security) over to another firm.
Guess what?  Yes they want us to work all over Christmas and New year.

I hope you all have a verry Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hi there Juncmodule.

Sorry it's taken me ages to get back to you. I have been away for a while with no access to a comp.

My O.S. Is windows XP Home.

Yes. I do have 'Open office' on my comp.
Also I don't know if this helps but when I run a search for 'pictures, Music or videos'
I check the 'Pictures and photos' area but leave the other areas blank (Including the type in areas).
Also I check all of the 'advanced Features'.

Is this where I am going wrong?
However I used to do the same on my last comp and I never got all of the 'res' results.

Thank you all for your help.

Jay.

It's a Windows comp.

I also have more info now.

I just found some 'res' folders that say there located within the (Archive Root Directory). This is all it says. I can't find the location through windows explorer.
Also there are other 'res' folders to do with other locations aswell.
I haven't done anything with them. I guess they should be there then. ;)

There are just so many of them.
I never got all these results on my last comp.

Sorry if I have wasted your time. But thankyou for your help.

Jay.

Hi TerranRich.

Well on alot of the files it just says 'res/commandimagelist/'.
However... There are alot of files that start differently but have 'res' in the line somewhere. ???

I don't know if this helps?
#479
Hi Peeps.

On my new comp I did a general search for 'Pictures and Photos' (using all of the 'More advanced options')  and was supprised to find
a shed load of things that pointed to a 'Res' folder (or things that had res in the line).

I am confussed. My last comp never gave me all of these 'res' results. ???

All of my pics and photos that I have appear as do all pics of games and programs I have installed.
I just don't understand this 'Res' thing as you can't do anything with them (View them or anything else).

Is this normal or have I got a problem with my new comp?

Thanks.
Jay.

Darth Mandarb.

To true 'Colonel Wilma Deering' (Erin Gray) from 'Buck rogers [in the 25th century]'
was extremely HOT...HOT...HOT.

However there was something not right with Buck. How could you NOT be all over her like a rash?
She obviously liked him but, oh no, he didn't want to know, did he?

O.K. My childhood dream has changed. Now it is to be driving the 'General lee' with 'Daisy duke' and 'Wilma deering' sitting in the back whist I drive them
to a secluded spot within 'hazzard county'. ;)

I'm sorry I ever started this. It's bad for my health. ;D
