Sorry if this is moot now, but myself and everyone I know just calls them 'council houses' and 'council estates'.
I grew up in them, haha.

Not sure if it's what you're after, but have you seen Babel?
The title is a bit of a Hitch-hiker's guide reference, so I'm sure you're already downloading it :P
It's a really good film that tells 4 separate but interlinked stories.

If our universe is a simulation, we humans have either been long forgotten by our creators, or not even noticed at all considering our existence in this universe is a mere blip in time.  I'm not too worried about them catching me matsurbating... To them, we're probably just an interesting tick in a box, and there are things in other parts of our universe that they find far mor interesting.

...are you really saying that shows like [...] The Walking Dead are bona fide great shows, as in future classics?

Yes.

I thought Fringe was actually gonna make it right and make it more about the cases, but it just all went so "the chosen one", it's just annoying.

I prefer shows with a proper arc and to me Fringe has gone from a good bit of fun to a seriously awesome TV show since it started getting heavier on the mythology.  It's the same as the X-files... There needs to be a balance for it to be successful.  Some people prefer the 'monster-of the-week' episodes so that they could dip in and out witout feeling alienated if they miss an episode.  But some people, like me, prefer the over-arcing mythology episodes (probably why I'm a fan of Lost).

Nice easy but enjoyable distraction, thanks :D

Hehe.  Some of those had me laughing out loud to myself in the Library... Good stuff.
Best of luck!

Awesome.  Can't watch it yet, though, coz I'm in the library and haven't brought my earphones out with me.

I still check back on there every few weeks or so, as well as hrwiki.org, which is a great way to kill some time.

I know the Chapmans have been busy with babies and SBCG4AP, but as a fan I'm a little put out.  Not by the lack of new content as such, but by the general lack of communication.  It seems the only time the site gets updated these days is when there's a new product in the store.

I played the chapter one beta a few months ago.  It's amazing.  will definitely buy it... although I  might wait for these purchasing issues to die down.

I think the guy who did it is lucky to get away so lightly.
It wasn't even a protest, it was stupidity and made me embarrassed to be a student.  They like to think they're angry about something, but half of them don't even realize the changes don't affect them.  The whole debacle was a demonstration of how students will jump on any bandwagon going, and then go home and tune into the X-Factor at the end of the night.

Has Anyone tried playing these 'choose your own adventure' style things on Youtube?
Today I suddenly had the idea of making one, before quickly realizing it's probably already been done... and it has... to death.  But it's quite entertaining.

Here's a link to the one I just played... Kind of cheesy, but a fun distraction.

If you're into these kind of games, here's another with a bit more edge to it: http://www.molleindustria.org/everydaythesamedream/everydaythesamedream.html

I just played a game on Newgrounds, called One Chance.
I thought I'd post it here because it reminded me of EDTSD, not least because the format is almost identical.

I wouldn't call myself a tea buff, but I do like to try all kinds of teas.
But for all the different varieties that exist out there, at the end of the day nothing beats a good old English cuppa.
PG is my brew of choice, milk, one sugar, ta muchly.

General Discussion / Physics Games and AGS
Thu 09/12/2010 08:51:28
Sorry if I'm neglecting something, but I'm trying to think and  I can't recall there being much, if anything, in the way of 'physics games' on AGS.  Has anyone tried having a go at making one?  AGS is pretty powerful, I'm sure it could cope with some interesting physics-based puzzles (such This one I've been playing.
