I love how in Japan they automatically pull a V-sign whenever a camera is pointed at them... especially the girls. The Koreans do too. However, having the palm facing the signer or the recipient seems to be largely interchangeable (correct me if I'm wrong).

I have many photos of my lovely Korean friend, who wouldn't hurt a fly, seemingly giving me the two-fingered salute.  Or maybe she just hates me:-(

What happened with that place in Battersea?
I thought were down for letting us use it for free?
Even if it's not as big an event as initially envisioned we should still be able to do something, that can be expanded on in years to come... If Boakes and others have said they are down for it then it would be a shame to let the opportunity pass... Even if we just met them in a pub's function room for an afternoon.

What? How come?
When will it be?
As long as it's before next September.

I've got iTunes... always have... just never had an iPod to go with it... I'm pretty sure its something to do with drivers... most of my problems arenormally to do with drivers.

Hey guys... wonder if anyone can help me.
I bought my mates iPod off him a few weeks ago and have only just got round to trying to play with it.
Trouble is... when I plug it into the USB port, my laptop doesn't seem to want to recognize it.
It will acknowledge that I have put the device in there, and then it tells me it needs to install a device driver... which it says is a success... but after that it doesn't seem to register on my Computer, so I can't do anything with it.

I've tried it in all the USB ports, coz I know my webcam wont work in all of them, but to no avail...

Any ideas?

Cheers.

P.S. My computer refers to it as an 'Unidentified Device'... How to I get it 'identified'?

Hey, cool news man... I don't really know London enough, so I'll leave the advice to those who know, but you have my best wishes, mate.  I hope it all goes smoothly and look forward to meeting up with you sometime :-)

I have too much funny ideas daily so I decided to give a try to a webcomic.

I wish I could say that.  I envy you :)

HOORAY!

Best of luck with the run up to release, Auriond, and Team Effigy.
This has been among my most anticipated AGS games since I've been on these boards.

I've signed up to the forums.
How are you supposed to go about getting an invite?
Just linger and hope somebody decides they like you?

General Discussion / Re: Google Wave

I must admit, things like this don't generally excite me too much, but when I watched that Google Wave demonstration a few months ago I was blown away... Its such a powerful tool*.  Almost overwhelmingly so.

*[Edit] 'tool' is the wrong word... it's a veritable toolchest... a shed even... a shed brought from the future by beautiful cyber-nymphs and filled with wonderous things.

My bedroom is tiny and I don't have space for a bedside table on which to put my lamp.  I do have a series of shelves above my bed, but unfortunately my lamp is too large to fit on any of them... so what I did was dangle my lamp upside down, hanging it by the base on the lowest shelf, and used a copy of the Beginner's Guide to DarkBASIC (which I never use) to hold it in place...

Not the most exciting puzzle, perhaps, nor the most ingenious solution.  And I couldn't think of any witty Stobbartesque remark to go with the moment, but as an adventure gamer I live for situations like that.

Yay,  ;D Haha.  That's one hell of a cock-up.  How does one sign up for Plimus?  ;)
If it's not to much of a personal question, Dave, roughly how many units have you "sold" since the game offer started?

She's beautiful.  If I saw her in real life I think I'd instantly fall in love.  Although the yellow skin makes her seem a tad Springfieldian to me.  Have you tried playing around with different skin-tones/-hues?  You might find something that works better.

I've had no internet all week so I wasnt even aware of the downtime.... perhaps it is my very presence that keeps this website running... somehow I doubt that :(

Is that Taipan based on the James Clavell Novel of the same name?
I haven't read the book, but I've seen the film based on it... and it's really good.
If the game is based on the Clavell story, then I don't think theres much in the way of piracy... its more to do with trade and the political effects of the Opium Wars.

But that's one game I wouldn't mind checking out.
