I've just downloaded this beauty... bit late I know.Ã,  But I thought now was the time to play it as I have a stinking cold right now and hopefully this game will provide the solution.
I'll give some feedback when I've finished.

[EDIT]
Yay, short but sweet... I don't feel any better and I've got work at 1, so I won't be painting any masterpeices any time soon.

He's cool... Can you animate the frames so we can see the walking action?

Hear hear... the remastered version is much better.  what software do you use?

Keep the room that size, and just make everything else bigger... the door should only be a few foot away from the ceiling and the wardrobe would probably be about the same height as that... and the bed would probably be about the same length as those and then you should be able to get an idea of the size of the table and its various items from there.

As long as there is room for the sprite to move around then theres nothing wrong with filling up the spaces.

I look back back at the ninties with a strange mix of nostalgia and regret.
The music was ok but it was nothing definitive like the 80s or the 70's or any other decade to date.
Bands like Placebo, Terrorvision and Space came out of it I suppose but I don't really rememebr the 90s for the music.Ã,  I just rememebr it as the time when we built our patio, then moved house lifting the patio up again and reinstalling it in our new garden, joining a new school, not really takeing the chance to make new friends and being a bit of a lonely schoolboy with a couple of mate who i celebrated the millenium with and thats another story.

Jeez sorry, guys, i just read that back... what a boring 90s I had...glad my 00s have been a little more fun.... just a little.

I love sitting in the same spot (ie at my computer desk) farting and farting and bathing in my own methane knowing that if anyone comes near me thwy will never want to again.

I used to get quite depressed, but I was lucky that it mustve been quite mild (although it didn't feel like it at the time) because I managed to get out of it after a matter of time without telling anybody. Ã, Today I still get anxious, sometimes I feel left out or lonely, other times I want to be alone.

About the gay thing. Ã, I'm useless with women and hence rarely get any interest from the girls... I know my family soemtimes think i'm gay. Ã, But I know I'm not, men just simply don't turn me on. Ã, I really like girls and one day I'll find one who will see through my nervousness and force me to take her out, then I'll be well on my way.

May I suggest keeping off the prescriptions until you've been having counselling for a little while first, you may find you start making good progress without them... the drugs are fine all the time you are on them, but I know a few people who have gotten worse than ever when theyve come of it.

He needs a good meal inside him.
I like the pic. As yosef said you'll need a fair few frames of animation to make it look tidy, but I don't see anything wrong with the side on and front-view pictures... This characters cool.

Ahhh.. I see... Nobody's interested... I wonder why that is? its a great creative exercise..
You should start one anyway Tuomas, and, like you say, decrease the deadline to 2 weeks (or maybe even one week).
Also, maybe it would work better if there was a tighter word limit. say between 500 - 1000 words. and maybe extra rules such as having to include 3 particular items in the story.
What do you reckon?

A writing contest sounds like a good idea.  Have you got any links to previous writing contests so I could see what sort of thing you used to do?

I thought I made it easy enough to go up even with the menu coming down, but i will make sure i go through to double check each screen where you can exit up.Ã,  let me know any other problems you have.

I also found it difficilt to go up in some screens until i realised that you could use the arrow keys to control Banana Man.
Rather than going round changing every screen you should just put a little message at the beginning of the game saying that the Arrow keys can be used to direct the chraracter.

Looks cool though... Roger's key looks a bit out of place though.. hehee

I think the new style looks ok but would look a bit silly with 2d sprites walking ever the top of it.  And theres nothing really wrong with the old style, anyway.

Nice sprites mate.
Have you got an idea of the story line of your game yet?.. I want to know how the shull head mohawk guy comes into it.

I think it looks cool man.
It will be better when theres more stuff to browse through, but the layout is sweet.

Yo.Ã,  I'm on 43 points and I'm enjoying the game so far.

Spoiler
I love the bus-jumping game... all the little animations are hilarious.Ã,  And the "you've found a bug" gag was poor in a good way.

I have noticed a real bug though.

It says i need to change into the Banana Man cossie but I already am.

I'm a bit stuck at the moment, but I'm sure I'll work it out.

Parody's are also easier to make becasue you've already got a structure and some plot elements to be recycled and all you have to do is draw the graphics.  Although some imagination is needed to make it funny.  I think it has to be obvious that it is a parody, otherwise it could look like you're just trying to copy the game you are basing it on.

Oh yeh.. theyve changed... mustve been done quite recently.

Cool contest... I look forward to having a bash.
