For the lock on the drawer:
Spoiler
The clue on the card was written by Boyle, so you have to enter the number of drawers-spells-blinds in his office.

If the second clue is a problem:
Spoiler
look in the bottom drawer

Thanks, as she says easy. The undo spell was a bit tricky. Well done, liked that game.

Some major bug after opening the drawer.
Spoiler
I placed the thing into  the jar. I saw the death congregation outside. It was dark on the road. Doyle was back at the bar and drinking as long time before. I was able to get into the church, one death was on the bottom of the screen. The last thing from the jar was m -issing.
I replayed without using the thing from the drawer... well, used it later in church - everything went normal.

Cheers!

Thanks, great game! I am going to vote now, top rating from me.

Cheers!

it appears your still missing another item

Hint 2

Spoiler
Pick up the pliers on the floor in Jimmy's room

Am I blind? I can't see any pliers in that room. Lots of bottles, chair, dresser, cupboard and taser stuff?

Hmmm... Not sure what to tell you about that.  The path through is there and is working.  Maybe you went one too many screens or something?  Nobody else has gotten stuck on it.  There is a difinitive path through.

Thanks,

Bill.

Yes eventually I got through. It is a matter of luck to find the hotspot to pass into the next cave room. I found going through the cave rooms was painful, all the other rooms are fine. I am running Win7, either in window mode or full screen  mode.

I am haven trouble fighting Vaektor. Just a split second to do something and everything fails; just once - not sure what I did - then he crushed me. I saw a hint for that...

A hint please? Can we slow the game down?

Thanks, TassieDevil

TassieDevil, I am so sorry...  You are going to hate me...

Fixed .exe file for bugged v1.10 version (8mb) : Click here for fix-file.

-Bill

Hi

I downloaded that new exe and I got through the game alright until I hit the caves again :(
There was a hint about directions... I got to the point where you have to take 3 left turns. The first one after coming up is ok, the next is a long one and the character stops in front of the last left opening. It is not a dead end for sure; cave dead ends finish with a curvy wall.

Hmm.
TassieDevil.

PS: Nice game otherwise!

I can't even get the first part. I think the colours should be

Green, White, Orange?. Given I found hints in the west, east and middle?

Being colourblind... :( What is the sequence of colours starting from black please?

Took me ages to download and I don't want to stop on the first screen.

I polished the bowl and got a second set of kindling. Maybe I should start a fire somewhere? Lost the little girl too after she did the web thing

You gave up only because of one puzzle? ;) In this thread you should find every hint you need to solve it.

Which money you have or what the maincharacter says about the map has nothing to do with the firestorm. But the ballad is an important part of literature based on the firestorm, so you have to search there.

And the solution:

Quote
Spoiler
It`s 118111 - in the right order: eins, einen, Beachtung, meine, helfen.
[close]

And spell it in numbers, not in Letters!

Well, I gave up last Friday because I wasn't getting anywhere. Now I know the solution and go from there. My background is German, but I only considered eins, acht and elf - given the readme for non-german. If you expect numbers not words, please say it in the dialogue... and someting to smile at

I liked the previous chapters. But this number thing is way too difficult. Besides it was unclear if the number should be spelled out or not.. 5 or Fuenf.
I had the numbers 3, 5, 6 from the map; 1, 8, 11 from the poem; 700 - the money... way too many possibilities and no hints.
So I gave up, otherwise it was good until then!

Ahh too easy... I was thinking about the locked cupboard or using the dreaded food :)

I have connected the autopilot and corrected both levels of fluid. Now what? Power?

Nice game! Well done.
It crashed for me consistently if I use something on the tombstone, say the crowbar.

I never figured the password and I had a bottle with water & ashes - never used. During the end dialog it was saying saying - ahh the bar is doing the trick as it said in the book - I never read a book; I guess finding the passcode and the book is optional :)

I enjoyed it, thanks.

Hi,
It is actually quite a nice hame; though I never finished it. Here is why...
Spydoctor showed up while iconising it - after that it crashed. I can't give you details as it happened while my wife was using the PC.

By mistake I placed the copied symbols on the 4th quadrant and it placed the missing one in there. Finally I got the correct last one but couldn't do anything with it. I was unable to continue from there on and didn't feel like starting from scratch again.

During unistall it removed a lot, but the desktop item was still around and I couldn't remove it as it said - file not found. The CHKDSK fixed that for me.

Cheers, Tassie.

EDIT! I downloaded it last Friday. Maybe the uninstall is VISTA related...
Great game though - ignoring these little glitches.

@TassieDevil:
So the brute force translation worked for you ;)

No, sorry. I played the German version, born there ages back, just living here for good now - and by choice!

Strange game... Good for a few minutes of entertainment!
Sort of liked it, well, lets say it made me smile.

Thanks. Good to know not to start all over again if you had the wrong answer :)

Really good game. I liked the relaxing music and the amazing graphics; the story line was a bit thin, but that really didn't matter.
I enjoyed this a lot!

Given its darkness, the only thing I didn't like was the pixel hunt for the blue perl; never could have done it without the hints.
