Time isn't the issue. The heat simply is enough that I'm achy and have no concentration even in the cooler parts of the day like now. Today's forecast is 107F/41.6C. And the forecast for the next 2 weeks doesn't have a single day even reasonably cool.

Okay, I'm just going to drop out now. This is proving to be one of the hottest summers of my life and I simply don't have the energy to make a game.

Oops. I kind of forgot the extended deadline. Ah well, I doubt I could have come anywhere close to as good as Jack's Arrakis scene.

Didn't get as much done today as I hoped, but I did at least get one character game ready.

I'm too big of a scifi nerd to be silent... A Flux Capacitor is used for time travel, not space travel. Though time travel would be useful for delivering pizza. You could have it there the moment it's ordered.

And on a game making note, I'm thinking of starting Screenshot Saturday for my game. Which has led to me thinking of a way to use the background from last month in this month's game.

Ask them how they feel about old ladies walking around with their breasts out or men with their penis. After all, mandating that they wear clothes imposes on their freedom, doesn't it? Somehow, I don't think they would agree.

Yes, I'm being sarcastic, but I honestly can't wrap my head around this. How does wearing a mask has anything to do with freedom? If anything, it's the other way around - by not wearing a mask, people seriously impede the freedom of other people, mainly the freedom (or right) to stay alive!

I honestly have no idea where people like this draw the line. All I know is that there are certain Americans who simply think being told to wear a mask makes them defiant. One of the people said they'd have to put him in jail.

Thinking about it, the best comparison I can some up with is drunk driving. But I'd prefer not to ask their views on that subject either...

If it was merely a matter of confusion, I wouldn't be upset with these people. But these are people who are against it mainly on the concept that being told to wear a mask in public imposes on their freedom.

So, today is the first day of Texas being to mandatory mask wearing. I knew better, but I looked on Facebook anyway. Someone I knew from High School posted a link about it and 3/4 of the responses were anti-mask. I wonder how these same people feel about washing hands...

Nevermind. I think having the Blackwell Unbound Soundtrack playing in the background led to me having an idea. So, I will be attempting an Urban Fantasy game.

I may or may not attempt making a game this month. I had an idea yesterday, but then I realized it would basically play like a section of Knights of the Old Republic 2 with some elements from 2 or 3 scifi movies thrown in...

If someone has an idea for a game, but needs help with graphics, feel free to contact me. Otherwise I will attempt to get a better idea for a game.

Maybe I can think of an idea that I can actually execute. Currently the theme has made me think scifi, though.

Assessing things this morning, I've come to the conclusion I'd need 2-5 days to turn what I have into anything worth even calling a game. So, I guess I'm out. Good luck to anyone else who might still be working on a game.

Kind of a shame this ended yesterday. The current background I'm working for my Mags game would fit. But ah well. The Spice must flow.

I'll do what I can to figure out some kind of puzzles or interesting interactions.
But an extension would help. Even if it was only a couple of hours.

I'm trying to decide if it's worth pushing myself to finish something by the deadline or not. Unless I get some flash of inspiration, there will be minimal gameplay and no actual puzzles. And I don't even have a title for the game...

Well, I think Texas might be the state with the highest number of new cases now. And yesterday there was some kind of change in plans of opening stuff. I didn't pay much attention since I rarely go out anyway, but I do know that the city one of my cousins lives in is openly ignoring these changes. And yesterday was the first time I actually did go anywhere in 2 or 3 weeks, and literally the first thing I heard when I got inside was a woman aggressively saying she hated people wearing masks. So... yeah.
