I replaced everything with 8 bit sprites and backgrounds.

At least, I can now run 8 bit with Direct3D 9 but it still crashes with Software Renderer. :(

For some reason, AC crashes when Software Renderer is selected.

Graphics = 8 bit (256 colour)

I use AGS studio 3.5.0 patch 1.

Thanks. It works fine.

The sprites for guis are 32x30.

The buttons for guis are 32x30 since I decided to keep original sizes.
#167
I checked everything.

The images, guis.

When I replace another image, it sets itself to high. Set it low.

I get the same result.

Based on documentation 320x240 is low. Above 320x240 is high.

So 400x240 is high.

Is there a way to prevent ags to scale images?
#169
I set my game to 400x240 for 16:9 resolution.

Somehow, the images of the guis are too big.

I set sprites images to high and low resolution.

I tried resize and no resize when changing resolution.

I thought freeware and commercial games were split this year.

There is a freeware category but not commercial category.

Both commercial and freeware games share on best AGS game category.

I just checked which browsers I'm using on win98.

Opera 10.10

Firefox 2.0.0.20

Internet Explorer 6.0

Are those browsers considered outdated and getting 403 error?

When I was using my win98 computer, I can't access to AGS site.

Is it because my internet on win98 was slow (around 66k/s) or all my browsers were outdated?

Are there previews of AGS awards 2012 or older in videos?
#175
I watched a video of this ceremony.

I'm happy I did not come to this ceremony. lesbians jokes are lame and ruin everything. I hope the next one will be better.

Congratulations for all winners.
#176
I won't be to the ceremony. It's too late for me.
#177
I voted for 12h00pm but I can't say I'll be at he ceremony. 01h00pm, 02h00 pm and 03h00 pm would be great for me.

I just wonder, do you make copies of those fans QFG games in case if websites become gone?

The site and forums render just fine in up to date versions of all major browsers.  If you're using an out of date version, or some obscure browser, you can't expect it to be supported.

Expecting old versions of IE - which notoriously don't support web standards properly - to be supported is a little silly.  If I was Amazon and had a dedicated team of web developers devoted to making the site work in all conceivable browsers, maybe I would, but as it is I'm just one man doing this for free, so you have no right to *expect* anything.  So shush :P

I agree with that. I'll update ie.

I first thought AGS supports all browsers that's why I reported this glitch.

I heard this same song with Netscape ten years ago.

Alright. I won't report any problems with Internet Explorer.
