I haven't used high res coordinates, so if not pixel perfect. But apart from that it works fine.
If you're using it in high res you might want to turn off the outer border line though. Edit: That should work now too.
#2022
oops ;)

Well I've only searched for unresolved import errors - nevermind then.
#2023
Just encountered a bug in AGS 3.1.1

I'm modifying Akumayos weather plugin right now and stumbled across this.
Whenever a function in a struct has more than 10 parameters, I get an "unresolved import error". With less than 10, it works fine.

Code: ags

function WeatherModule::BeginEnvEffect(int slota, int slotb, int slotc, int slotd, int slote, int slotf, int slotg, int envfallingspeed, int envwindspeed, int weathergoing)

for example calling this function returns:
unresolved import 'WeatherModule::BeginEnvEffect^10'

When I remove e.g. 'int slotg', it works fine. Of course a workaround is obvious, but this might be still worth mentioning.

I don't know if I get you right, but currently there's no horizontal scrolling as I'm using word wrap. So if you have a really long string, it might get wrapped three times, but is still shown.

Sure,
I'm not in a hurry.

Who's not busy at the end of december ;)

I've tried that too, using a surface.clear(COLOR_TRANSPARENT) gives me the same result.

But the screenshot is from using surface.DrawImage

As I was making this module (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=36228.0),
I've encountered a little bug.

It seems, that the special dialog surface has a problem with transparent areas.

The text is fine on the disc, but messed up on the transparent side.
But I can wipe away the garbagepixels with the cursor :)

I can second that. Khris' script is really nice, I'm using it as a base too.

You can also get a "maniac mansion mania" starterpack, these have been ported to 3.x too.

Hey!

I've just finished a module for the custom dialogs, don't worry - the code is in english ;)

It supports optional bullets, up/down scrolling borders and background graphics.

Get it while it's hot - so far I haven't found any bugs, but there could be still some in.
Oh, and I've only tested it in 320x200...

By the way, is it good enough for the module section?

@Neil
I'm not really sure you can compare
this

with that

?

Apart from that, zyndikates entry is pretty amazing and if I could draw like that I'd probably go highres too ;)

QuoteMaking it possible to set custom properties during runtime: like having SetTextProperty.

This has been requested a few times over the years; the reason it doesn't happen yet is to cut down on the size of the save games. But it probably wouldn't add too much data to persist this.

People create 80 - 200 MB games and complain about save game file sizes? ;D
As long as a save game doesn't grow up to 5 MB each, I wouldn't mind.

Oh and I second an easier translation method ;)

Another wish:
Making it possible to set custom properties during runtime: like having SetTextProperty.
Then I could get rid of some public structs.

#2035
I also like it a lot, also good choice on the GUI colors.
This could turn out to be, what Lucas Art should have done years before - though I liked the post clonewars universe much more :P
#2036
Already did ;D

That game hopefully will contain monochromatic backgrounds (as part of a parallel world), though it doesn't take place in the winter.

Yay, finished this much earlier than I thought (pls scroll up). Just imagine falling snow and animated smoke.

Hey!
I'll take the curse off of this thread and enter.

Alright, ladies :)
First of all, thank you so much for these two terrific entries. That surely was a lot of work and the results are just great.
But let's see how they did compete.

Blue (168 Frames):

the good things:
Excellent animation quality. It's actually so good that it underlines the characters of the fleas instead of just moving them around. The way the hawker sneaks up to his target is unbelivable good. Also it's slipping away in the end - awesome.

the downside:
The storyline is a little on the weak side. One gadget and I'm pondering, why the flea's still blowing up even after it stopped using it.

Twirlly (112 Frames):
the good things:
Perfect storyline. Twirlly, you really understood the scenario.
Lot's of gadgets, the cloak that comes in different tones, the creme... there's more than I'd even imagined. The fleas even leave blains after sucking.
Also the interaction of the "host", flipping away the "sucker"... great great great.

the downside:
The animation itself is good, but not gorgeous. Some parts also would have needed more frames, especially the last part where the hawker gets a last snack.

Conclusion

Twirlly Gold

Blue Silver

'Hope you like flowers ;)

Since both entries have been just great, I had to make a decision whether to  put more weight on the creativity or the presentation. Twirlly's animation  doesn't look as good as blue's, but is far from bad - the storyline however is incredible creative. So her/your entry made the race.

Congrats! You may choose the next topic.

Sorry everyone.. I guess you're waiting for the result, but please give me time until tomorrow.
I need to "adjust" the trophies a little more for you two...
