Hehe, I've been folowing this for a little bit, and I must say that i don't really like the design much at all. Looks a little cheap to me. The controller looks better in that pic than others I must say though.

Oh yeah and the name Xbox 360 is really very lame. I'm sure it will seem normal soon enough, but taht doesn't stop it being lame.

Well this thread is just a little bit crazy... Oh well I guess I'll offer my 2 cents.

I like SOAD's music. I think that they are quite talented and make great music, but I'm not a fan of all their lyrics I 'spose. Much like alot of music I guess.

Yay another discussion about smileys :P Yeah a while ago we added in the missing roger ones... my suggestions were regected, but I don't mind.

Personally I like the Invision forum smilies...
<--- best emoticon ever! Also the one in my sig is good too.

Its been interesting the past few days with the forums coming back to life slowly. I agree fully that the gen gen is avital part of the community. It's probably where I spend the most of my time here. It would be very bad to see it gone, although if you have to, then I guess you have to.

I'd say it probly has the same issue thats discussed in this thread: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=20578.0

Awesome preview! It make me want to play the demo even more.

One thing I noticed: "Maybe you just can't learn an old dog new tricks". You should have teach instead of learn ;)

I'm currently learning C, C++ and Java at uni doing Computer Science. Last year was pretty much devoted to learning the basics of C++ and all that algorithm theory stuff. This year it's been pretty full on.

C++ is nice, I like it, but that might be because I've spent the most time with it. Learning C after C++ is annoying really. The reason they teach us it is because in the real world many programs are written in C, and we will have to understand them.

Now the interesting thing here is that this year they have just made the Java subject no compulsory. I decided to take the subject as I thought it would be helpful. My experience with Java is that it's nice, and does alot of stuff good, it should only be used if you want to develop multiplatform, because thats what its designed for.

Anyways... I better get back to programming this assignment.

Oh and btw, we are using command line compilers here for all the subjects. Quite anoying, but once you get used to it, it's fine I think.

Hmm am I the only one confused by the last post? ???

Man!! That was so very awesome. Really very well made, and it just fits the song perfectly.

Hmm I'm not sure about either problem. I know sometimes when I close firefox, it keeps the process running, and when you open it up again, it asks you to choose a profile. Quite annoying, but I think it's an issue with one of the extensions.

Yeah true, it's pretty bad, but with enough tinkering you can make it alright. I like the handwriting thing and custom emoticons are also cool. Everything else is pretty much useless.

Well I've never had the need for the Microsoft AS. The other programs listed by Darth do a fine job for me... besides, I' m worried about some of MAS's detections. It detected Messenger Plus as having spyware even though it is only the installer that has it, and it doesn't install it if you choose not to.

And Krazy: The newer versions of Plus don't have the remove the ad thing, but you can easily fix that with the patch (doesn't require Plus) from mess.be

And yeah Plus works with the official 7.0 now  :=

QuoteMSN sucks on that aspect... no matter what you have as default browser, it opens IE. And microsoft says we can now choose which products to use on our system... BAH!
If you go to http://dallas.sark.com/SarkBlog/kcunningham/archive/2004/11/23/511.aspx you can find out how to open links in MSN Messenger in your default browser. It's very cool I think, and you can customise MSN alot more with Messenger Plus! And don't be scared by where is says Messenger plus! has spyware... just choose not to install it.

I remember you danny... you were from GAC, and made a game with cool 3D graphics that I didn't actually play, but I think it won some AGS awards :P. Good to have you back :)

*cry* Well, now I'm glad I succumed to the blissful numbing sleep.
Well I think you deserved one... and I did vote... although I remember voting for App II too :P

Anyways, quite a hilarious ceremony there... I would have liked to have joined, but as usual us australians need sleep. 5/6am is a little too early I thinks.

You need eMule or eDonkey for those links I think. Even so they didnt seem to work, but after searching in eMule, i found it.

Based on these recomendation, I think I must go and check it out. I am a fan of platform games if they are done well, and this one is by Tim, so it must be good.
#179
Did anyone tape it? And was it good. What did they show?
