Thanks for all the advice and all in all I think I am going to go with a scanner, I am more experianced with traditional line drawing and I don't want to lose those skills so I'll just draw and ing the drawings scan them monocrome then colour them in some freeware paint program thanks for all the advice

I have a question for all you landlubbers and artist and other victims of society, as follows.
Ahem.
I am wanting to do a high qualety digital comic on the computer should I get a tablet or a scanner? On one hand a scanner would also let me do photos, but a tablet would allow me to do more direct editing as well as use computer paint programs with much more potential accurassy. so what do you all think?

Even if you took the weapons away, some kid who takes karate class could still kick a couple of other kids heads off. Really, full fledge martial arts are just that, skills to KILL. Personally While I don't think guys should just 'suck it up", feelings are important in all genders, though in different ways, I  do think we are  raising a narcissistic society. We don't seem to prepare adaquitly for failure. I think all these grownups still living with their parents is one of the symptoms, and it isn't just cooking with cheese. We need to not turn every failure in to a success but rather into a learning experience.  Bristle cone pine-cones must burn before they sprout, other wise the seed just rots. I fear we are setting up western society for a major rot.

I have reconsidered my position and consider myself a christian agnostic, I just think the concept of faith and science don't get along that well. Faith is believing because you believe and it helps you live your life, hopefully for the better. Science is the repeted testing of ideas to find more univeral ideas. Niether can give all the answers. No scientest can  tell me how I can get an 'I' out of a  few pounds of intercontected hydrogen carbon and a bunch of other elements. On the other hand faith can't tell me how a cell works. I am certin that I am uncertin scientificly.
ANd I find that chart a tad offensive. I have faith yes, but I question it all the time ask myself why I believe whatI believe. I know I have touted this guy before, but Michiel Fareday was a christian, AND he was a great scientist. The idea isn't inconcieveble.

Yes most of us tend to fear that state of being. Wether there is an afterlife or not will probebly be debated till the stars grow cold and the universe itself draws to a close. If there is a hell, which I really don't know one way or other, I think it would be total sensory deprivation not pitchforks and hellfire. If there IS a god or gods or at least someone I can say hi to, I hope I get the choice of skimming through the cosmos on th endless wings of night seen all the things in the universe I have always wanted to see, the ultimate cosmonaut

mY mom and my step dad are scabble nuts I never quite got bit by its bug. I love monoply, I tend to win, and the few times I've played risk I have won, so either my opponints were bad or I am just got a bit of a talent for world domination, mew ha ha ha!!  We had a game of Sorry as a young lad and one of the yellow pieces was "gibbled" weirdly enough it seemed that if a player played yellow they would win more often, lucky gibble I guess I never played D+D but it sounds fun if rather complicated. Anyone besides me ever play the mad magazine game?

Heh, those were characters he designed for a game he was helping me make. Can you please remove them, lo_res_man? I'm still making that game and I don't want people thinking I've used ripped character sprites.
