Good luck with this Crimson! Sounds like fun!
But, I have questions:

Will there be a Inn where my travel companions can rest and heal? Maybe even listen to old bard tales and songs?
And the maids, can I expect large breasts when I order some ale? Rumours about strange death magic performed in town could be retrieved from patrons?
My weapons, should I expect different types of materials, will I start with a wooden stick?
Is it possible that Icey designs a "junction" system for upgrading my characters?

Stuck!
Spoiler
There's no indications on what to do, I'm sure I've missed a spot but just can't seem to find anything to interact. There's the flushing thing and lots of closed doors...

This is looking fantastic! Great trailer!
Best of luck finishing the game.

There's nothing wrong with Sony's presentation in my opinion. What could we expect? Sony avoiding "social" features? Sony avoiding downloadable games?
Should Sony avoid "casual" gamers with fast loading browser games?
Why would they deny that there's millions of gamers willing to load up a casual game in a minute with as less buttons to press as they have to?
This will not "kill" the fantastic machine the PS4 will be. The released info on hardware allow the PS4 to deliver gamers top games with fantastic graphics.
The PC is a must in my life and it always have been. I use it for AGS and retro-gaming mostly. My PS3 allows me to play all the mainstream cool games in the comfort of my sofa. And I can even challenge friends for a PES match! How bad can this be?

Hristosko34, I don't think you should be asking this kind of things. I'm sure you mean well but you do realize that the people who made those games are forum members?
Try to contact them personally, they're the ones who know those figures and the ones to decide if that is meant to become public.

Snarky, sorry if I crossed any borders here.

QuoteNow before I finished the picture one thing I didn't like was the top of the head. He wasn't supposed to have hair and it wasn't supposed to be him. So that's another reason why it's messed up

Okay, that makes perfect sense.

Yeah, looks like it.
It's funny how I had this false feeling of being safe from those things. There's really nothing we can do about it.

Great to watch on future Discovery Channel programs but really serious for the people where it landed. It's both fascinating and tragic.
It still brings more questions to me than answers. We all knew that meteorites do fall on earth, but how and why Russian authorities didn't release a warning to the population is very serious.
Do they have the technology to "follow" a meteorite that gets too close to earth?
Even if they do have it its simply too fast to actually act and warn people?
I read that the Russian Space Program is just a commercial project using old but reliable tech to launch satellites. But surely they have their own network of satellites, no?

I remember "junctions" while playing FF (7 or 8?) on a PSOne. I believe that you could "junction" fire and fira to produce firaga or something like that. "Junctioning" powers/spells could produce better magic.
I'm sorry if this is not the case, it's been a while since I played those games.

I want to ask some questions too:

1)Icey, what's your relation with the russian meteorite?
2)Does the name 'Oliver' mean anything to you?
2)What do you call a cat with pants?

Congrats to all the noms! Great stuff this year!
Can't believe OSD material was left out though.

QuoteI was hoping people of the community would discuss this eventually, but I see no movement in this direction :(

Crimson, like me there must be a lot of people here that wish for improvements in AGS and admire all the stuff you and others are working on.
The thing is, and I feel I speak for many of us, all we can do is follow your topics and eventually say that you're doing a great job. My knowledge and the knowledge of most of us in the community is very limited regarding coding engines and editors.
I'm afraid that the original nature of AGS being a one-man-thing for everybody gathered a lot of "lazy" game makers regarding true programming, while other software (harder to master) brought more skilful coders.

This said, I wish you guys (the ones that actually work on improving AGS) to be friends and enjoy doing it.
I know this may sound off topic but I follow all the dev topics here although I don't understand most, and truly admire what you are doing.

Looking forward to see what are your favorite games on that system.
On the SNES? I'd have to say Final Fantasy 3. I bought it off eBay many years ago and still haven't gotten around to playing it on the console. I've only played it with an emulator.

Final Fantasy 3! Fantastic game. There's a GBA version with updated graphics as well. This game and Chrono are 2 of the best RPG ever made.
For the GBA I'm playing Shining Force using emulator.
It's a shame Shinning The Holy Ark was only released on the Saturn. Does anybody tried Saturn Emulators? I was once told that it doesn't emulate that well and some crashing occurs frequently.

I hope so Snarky. I just don't have any faith on those new-democracies and the "ways" people get elected. I even have doubts that clan based societies can fully understand what the democratic right is. And worse, if they really want it. Like I said before, it took Europe centuries to implement what was thought by the ancient Greek. Millions died for democracy, a political ideal for the benefit of all people. While on some parts of the world the simple idea that a woman can have a opinion on something may lead to persecution.
Many new-democracies are show-off for the rest of the world, the "old" powers still rule masked by institutional nomenclature, and the same people keep abusing population rights.

Snarky & Tamatic, yes things are better and in some places much better in a way we would not think of a few decades ago.
Still, I think that the localized regions of the world where extreme hunger persists are beyond our help. It's actually easier to send 1Billion meals every day than to fix all the deep structural problems those populations have.
Because that's what we do, we organize them in camps, set up medical tents, and feed them. The people doing it (Red Cross, etc...) are heroes and the only ones with a conscience here, although a quick google search will bring money laundering to the scene.

The gigantic gap between what developed countries have already achieved and the hungry populations is such that saving them became almost impossible, although we'll never admit it.

Just more stats:
2012 World Hunger...

You have a very romantic view of things tamatic. We failed and keep failing on how to solve 3rd world country problems. What some people say is that there's no way for those countries to skip the crucial stages that led developed countries where they are. And the differences are simply huge. Political because we've came from monarchies to democratic republics and this path was bloody and ideologically insane with all the notions of socialism taken to extremes and finally discarded. Socially because we reinvented ourselves in just a century and at supersonic pace, imagine placing someone from the 20's with another from the 60's? And technologically because we are indeed far beyond water pumps and steam engines.
Now, all this can't be exported to another country and expect it to work just like that. It takes generations if all goes well.
I'm not even considering populations with extreme poverty, they may be doomed.
Stats saying that global poverty are lower are fine, but there are still 1 Billion people starving.

Should we let them starve and die of disease? No. But can we save them from a already written fate? I'm afraid the answer is No as well.

QuoteLike Hans Rosling said Africa had more progress than any others. Climbing from our middle ages to the last century in just a few decades.

Now this is simply not true. Some countries in Africa do manage to give the rest of the world the idea that they have all the facilities developed countries do. Things as basic as clean tap water or electricity can only be found in capitol cities, while the rest of the country is pretty much still in the dark ages. This is a fact (even in South Africa) all over the continent. And then there's corruption. Mr. Rosling probably had his pockets full when he decided to tell that huge lie.

In my opinion, Mr. Attenborough is telling us to take care of our problems because nobody can save Ethiopia and the likes. It is very sad, but it can't be done. In 2010 there were 925 million hungry people and while it would be possible to feed them all, the gap from being fed and becoming productive nations is too big that nobody will take the effort. And the fact is that they are being left to die. All the support and charity they receive is funded by "laundry" money and most of it never reaches the starving populations. In fact, most of it sponsors militia groups and weapon trade.
We sure are lucky people.

#1279
I just want to add this comments from David Attenborough. Not saying I agree, but actually it goes towards my opinion on 3rd world countries not having a chance becoming prosperous. Ever.

Humans are plague on Earth

This statements are fresh and started a polemic debate among scientists. To us, I believe is something more to feed our debate.

Wow! Take that Miguel! :)
Strange that it kind of worked with followcharacter instead of enemies walking to player.x and y. Must be related to what you said about followcharacter.
Thanks for the help Khris, I guess I've got a lot to clean up in my code.
