I need water. I've activated the sprinkler, but don't know how to reach it.

Two days ago, from one day to to another, my Google Chrome started to have a problem with running any sorts of flash streams (audio and video). For example, when I start a youtube video, there's the image, but no sound, and after exactly 11 seconds, the image freezes. When I jump in the video's timeline, the video starts again (still without sound), and, after 11 seconds, passes out again. Audio streams like built-in mp3 flash players on webpages or services like soundcloud etc. don't work at all. Funny thing is that I didn't change anything at all, no new programs, no deinstallations, hell, I didn't even restart my computer. It worked one evening, I went to bed, and the next day, it did this.

Things I've done so far:
- Tried it in Firefox -> everything works, but as I want to use Chrome, that doesn't help me much
- Fiddled with the Flash player's "hardware acceleration" options -> didn't do shit
- Rebooted -> nope
- Reinstalled the Adobe flash player plugin -> it seems that Chrome has it's own built-in player, since the deinstallation didn't affect the browser at all (unlike to Firefox which then complained about not having the needed plugin installed)
- Reinstalled Chrome -> didn't work

Is anyone else encounting such problems? Might someone have a solution for this problem? Thanks :D

EDIT: Solved. I just deactivated the built-in flash plugin. Seems that was the little bastard.

What REALLY happened (Super spoiler):

Amul sent the thug to scare Anna, instructing Ed to go be the hero to gain her trust.  Unfortunately for Ed's plans, Bennet was waiting outside keeping an eye on her apartment and saw Ed on his way in.  You can learn this by asking Ed at the end of the game using the LTM.

Spoiler
I thought the rewinding-feature was intended for situations which would cause death or major harm to the player character (with a little exception in the nightmare sequences, which at least had a real life counterpart). But when the thug broke the door or one were too slow to cut the rope before he reached Anna, time rewinded as if to suggest that he (would have) killed her. But if the thug wasn't intended to kill her, but just scare her, and Ed didn't show up to 'save' her, what would he have done instead? Say "Booh!" and leave?

Also, you said earlier that the vault had a second entrance, through which Ed could escape faster than Ray and Bennet and which Dr Morales built for the sake of convenience. Doesn't this defeat the whole purpose of a vault? Okay, there's still the fingerprint detector, but if that's it, he could have placed the computer in the lobby instead.

But that's just nitpicking. I absolutely loved Resonance. The writing was superb, the story immersive, the characters all different, but likeable. The puzzles were clever and not only dipped in for the sake of it. All those different software interfaces, the little details; and the graphics ... just wow :)
Voice acting was good, but -- with some plopping sounds and different recording quality -- could have been done with better equipment.
I quite liked the STM and LTM, though IIRC the STM wasn't used that much in the second half of the game. I also hated to backtrack to certain locations just because I forgot to put something into STM. And in the end, I think, STM could be easily ditched, whereas the LTM had many different purposes and uses. In fact, there weren't too many instances when STM had been used in an overly clever way, but many instances when LTM had.

Didn't have much trouble with the phone tracing puzzle; I thought Bennet explained well how to do it, and for me, it worked the first time I tried. I sucked at the wiring puzzle; I figured out how to do it, but decided it wasn't worth my time, so I consulted a walktrough ;D
One thing embarrassed me:
Spoiler
The puzzle when you have to use the magnet to get the key from the locker, I was sure that I have to go all the way through the sleeve with the key's teeth facing upwards. I did a facepalm when I found out you could just go all the way around the jacket. Duh! (But to be fair, I had to try that a few times, too, because the game wouldn't let me use the entire left side of the locker.

And one thing that bothered me most: I think I mentioned it before when the demo was released, and I don't know if it's just me, but on my PC the mouse cursor snapped onto hotspots as if they were magnetic. Don't know if it's a bug or a feature, but it made the game a lot more tedious than it should have been, mainly because it didn't snap on dead center. On small objects (like the metal pole in the subway), the cursor stopped before it, and when I tried to move my mouse, the cursor either remained on its place or suddenly jumped away so that the cursor now was on the other side of the pole, but again not on it. I hated this, and there were many occasions like this in the game. Did someone else encounter this?

Anyway. Great game! I recommend it. Four and a half stars out of five :)

I'm not through yet, but this already is easily one of the best adventure games I've played in years. Good writing and many different puzzles that keep you thinking.
Just when will the boxed versions be shipped? (EDIT: Solved; just read your notification.)

Yeah! Downloaded it on Steam already!
I highly anticipate the boxed version :D

First version of a CD cover for the upcoming side-series of my detective radio play series 'Hastings & Grey'. The side-series is called 'Zwischenfälle' (which in German can mean both 'incidents' and 'the inbetween-cases') and will feature radio play and audio-book episodes that are not in the canon of the main series. The first episode is called 'Kein einladender Ort' ('An uninviting place').

The image is a composition of many different photographs (both my own and some found on imageafter.com) and needs some further touching-up in the main area.

I just ordered a copy. That looks gorgeous (and plays as well).
Just one thing: Is it just me, or does the mouse cursor get stuck sometimes (especially when hovering over a hotspot)?

General Discussion / Re: Ray Bradbury is dead

I agree. Ray Bradbury is one of those writers who showcase the beauty of the English language. Something Wicked This Way Comes will always be one of my favourite books.

I haven't seen it, to be true. I just saw pics of it, but since Dieter Laser seems to be on-screen all the time, I recognized him.
Okay, how about this:

I would prefer these links to work like “normal”.
I can't choose by myself to open them in a new window/register (via rightclick). It always changes the actual window I am in  :(
Hm, strange. I can right-click them (on Firefox 12) without any problems.
