Heh, somehow Case 2 left me with rather sweet memories. Good luck with raping the classics, anyway!

Hehe, thanks for posting Bulbapuck. I thoroughly enjoyed Spoony's playthrough of Phatasmagoria 2, it was hilarious and it's hard to believe that 6 hours let's play video would be actually that much fun. So I'll really consider watching this one.

Are you into all dark and eerie, Calin? :) I definitely appreciate that and look forward to play this ;)

I expected the Big Bad Wolf to come and gobble her up, red dress and all. But all I got was a deep meaning. Good short game!
In that case you should play The Path. It's no less artsy and it's all about red dresses and big bad wolves :D

The result made me laugh out loud. :D

This game is too damn realistic  :'(

Not sure if anyone here needs yet another opinion on the 9th page which probably won't content a single new bit but...

I definitely liked the atmosphere. It was solid and immersing. The rain effects are great, it's the best rain I have seen in an AGS game. The music selection is so great and fitting, it's really a shame that the score isn't original.

The story is not bad, but the way it's told in terms of scenario and gameplay... man, it just begs to be better.

The gameplay isn't just linear, it's mockingly linear. Game doesn't only prevent you from getting stuck, it pushes you so hard from one story trigger to another that it feels like an intentional parody of adventure gameplay, and the cheesy ways and reasons that game chooses to push you are so cliche that they can't be taken very seriously as well. And that diary lock puzzle is simply purely laughable.

I liked the game, it had style, it had content, it entertained me without bothering me with a single chance to get stuck, but also it didn't give me a chance of expressing myself in playing it.
But I sure do hope you continue making such cool stuff and improve on that, good luck with that!

Bulbapuck: a very random game, in the nice way, which I appreсiate greatly, it made me smile, chuckle and wonder. and it actually has puzzles, yeah

Wyz: really nicely done one! it feels like a real adventure game, just a small one. I liked the various descriptions and therefore the feeling (or illusion :P ) of actual gameplay. and of course the irony of the only puzzle made me laugh

FSi: a very solid effort for an hourgame, lot of jokes, animations, actions and stuff and it's really funny and a bit absurd. it was quite enjoyable

so, well, it was really hard to pick because each of the games has its different appeal, but I think I'll go for Bulbapuck because his game has it all: the humour, the sweet randomness, the original graphics and even some inventory puzzles which are crazy too and that's definitely a good thing

well done, everyone! :)

The Snow Queen has arrived on Earth. She has managed to open the snow wall.

But I cannot make her enter the entrance of the camp!

Help!
yeah, i was stuck there for, like, ten minutes
you need to 'use' the entrance, not just walk through it

Am i the only person who thinks Fallout looks better as a Gameboy game?
You're definitely not.

And btw I'm sooo loving the entries in this compo, you guys rock. Ico, Fallout and Nelly really cracked me up, and others as well made me smile.
Continue rocking!

I was amazed by how dynamic is everything in the trailer. I mean, not in every adventure game you figure out stuff while being constantly surrounded by zombies

Wow, I'm definitely likin' the atmosphere of these screens. The resolution is fine by me. Looking forward to playing this and wishing you luck&inspiration.
And put in the game as much psychedelic stuff as possible please.  :=

General Discussion / Re: Must-have-tried games

Anachronox, the rpg by Ion Storm. Because it's not good, it's just godlike. Wonderful design, hilarious ironical humour spilled everywhere, and awesome sci-fi-ish atmosphere with some realy cool dramatic plot put in seamlessly and harmonically with all the funny stuff. This game overcame just any of my expectations with how brilliant everything there is from cutscenes to remarks of every npc you meet, the characters and all the story twists can't be praised enough.
I don't know how rpg junkies will judge roleplaying part of the game which seemed quite nice to me, but I expect every adventure gamer to fall love with it instantly as I did because of the story, characters and the whole feel of the game.

Well, why don't I also mention AquaNox 1 and 2. If you happen to like all the following things - cool cyberpunk/dark sci-fi atmosphere, underwater sceneries, wild shooting in all directions, lots of dialogues with unusual characters - then you're going to enjoy this game a lot.

I think it's best to create something you actually like and are interested in. I don't know what exactly inspires you so much in coming up with female characters but since you're obviously satisfied with the results you probably just like them in some way. So I suggest you in order to create a good male character just imagine a guy who'd you like to meet, to do something with (like, say, go adventuring) or even be. This may help you getting quite sure what do you want to see in a character.

Well, it least it works kinda like that for me. Sometimes I think 'geez, how much fun would a woman with certain features be' and another female character gets born. Some other sime I think 'it would be cool to be a guy like that' and invent a new male character. Often they appear from some single stroke of personality that I happen to like at the moment.
And it's not that I'm a genius of characters, but hey, sometimes I'm really satisfied with the results.  :)
