We had a thought to optionally support a Sierra-style speech view with character portraits in the default game templates. But for that we'd need to have Roger's portraits.

If anybody is willing to draw a portrait animation for the Roger character, something simple, consisting of < 10 frames, please contact us here in this thread, or here in this suggestion thread on github:
https://github.com/adventuregamestudio/ags-template-source/issues/36

Please keep in mind that the style should match the resolution and art style of the default template assets, more or less.

Perhaps, it would be a good idea to post this work in Critics Lounge first, to get peoples reaction.

I will check with a colleague of my work if he would like to contribute a portrait for thinking and talking.

I will get back with yes or no.  :)

I have experience with pixel portraits, send me the details about them, like resolution, facial expressions, amount, etc, and I'll get them done.

Some examples:

Template's resolution is 320x200, so this had to be something suitable for that resolution. Around 1/4 to 1/3 of a screen height perhaps?

No expressions are necessary, only a short speaking animation. This is meant to provide example only.

The portrait's looks should match the template character looks (Roger):

I tried this size of 64x72, honestly I'm not familiar how the Sierra-style dialogues should look like, so I end up not know the perfect size for the portrait..I tried to block the UI inside the 320x200 canvas and draw a portrait in a size I think it would look okay.
I'll push the details after you give me an okay about the size and the style itself.

I suggest posting in the "Critic's Lounge" forum, so that more people could check it out and comment:

The style may be similar to the classic Sierra SQ games, this is what this character is based on. Portraits may have backgrounds and/or frames too.

In regards to the character, I guess the Roger character is supposed to be a positive comedy character, so the look of the face should be more cheerful I guess? But I wish AGS community had a collective opinion on this work too.
