Hey all!

We're a small...ish independent team based in Riga and Moscow (and now also some US cities and Greece and some other places, prolly) currently working on our first title, Do I Wake or Do I Dream (or DIWoDID for easier pronunciation:)). This is currently a non-commercial project, but its scope has grown over time, and we may go for a commercial release eventually. There is, however, a lot of work that needs to be done before that happens.

Story

DIWoDID is a 2D point-and-click adventure. The story is set in the near future and revolves around suspended animation technologies and dreams. Themes the game deals with are loneliness, hubris and redemption. It will be divided into several chapters, probably one chapter for each of the three main characters and a prologue. In addition to standard adventuring stuff, each character will have their own game mechanics to help them reach their goals. We will probably reveal more about the story and the mechanics after we announce the game.

Positions Available

Most of positions have been filled already. The only remaining opening is a crucial role of Character Animator.

As yet, we have no character sprites or any other animations created whatsoever, so this position is very important. As mentioned earlier, there are three main characters in the game and a whole bunch of NPCs. There's also a lot of other animations that need to be done, but for starters, we would like to recruit a character animator or two.

The game runs in 1920x1080 (thanks to the AGS community for making this possible!), so please keep this in mind should you choose to join our team.

Despite the fact that we currently have almost all battle stations manned, if you're looking to work on a big complex project, don't hesitate to offer us your skills.

Pictures below will give you a little glimpse of what we're trying to do.

Deadline

There are no deadlines set yet as we are still in the process of recruiting and can't really make any projections as to how long it will take us to finish the game. We are, however, planning to put together a playable first chapter before the end of this year.

If you are interested in joining our team or learning more about the available positions, feel free to PM me or ping me at aleksandrsterentjevs (at) gmail.com. Please provide some sample artwork so we know what we're dealing with. And don't be afraid, we're all learning here, and it's okay if you learn and grow with us. Any help would be much appreciated:)
