Title: Suggestion: Name change of sub-board
Post by: Gilbert on Wed 26/01/2022 12:39:20
As discussed here (https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=59725.0), there doesn't seem to be one single location to post useful tools on the forums, and I think the Modules & Plugins sub-board is suitable for this.
So I suggest renaming that board to Modules, Plugins & Other Tools.

Comments are suggestions are welcome.

I agree. The board seems like the obvious place for things like the online translation editor, font editors, etc., that aren't actually AGS plugins but are useful to assist in making AGS games, and the name makes sense. Maybe "Other AGS Tools"?

I like Other AGS Tools or even just Modules, Plugins & AGS Tools - if it needs to be shortened for some reason.

Maybe "Modules & Tools" for a full board name? Modules may refer to both script modules and plugins, and tools term covers everything else.

Because we could always do with another suggestion, why not just "Modules, Plugins & Tools" as the name?
To be honest, I actually thought the board was already called something along those lines. Mandela effect anyone?

Sound good to me, go for it.   (nod)

To be honest, I never notice where stuff are posted at (which sometime makes it difficult to find a post that is a month or 2 old), but it would be nice to be clear where to post these tools fit. I remember I had some trouble with it with the online translator tool. Think I ended up just leaving the thread where it was (in suggestions)...  :-\

Should this be changed to say:

It's the Board Rules (https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=45925.0) for the sub-board with the new name.

Thanks, I updated that.  I think the post basically makes sense now, although some explicit rules regarding tools might be useful too.
