It is indeed that very movie...

I'm curious about how you tracked it down and defeated my attempts to shy away from obvious scenes including the main characters.

What on earth did you do to find it?

I saw the movie (100 years ago) and I recognized your first screenshot but just couldn't place it... took me awhile but my memory banks accessed it eventually.

I actually didn't recognize the second shot at all! I got it from the first one.

Gilbert, there are no humans inside the armours in the movie.

My guess, the scene is either from a scene featuring extras at Universal Studios (maybe the main character is on visit or something) or a shot from a movie with a sci-fi convention, and these are just 2 fans chatting.

Since at this moment the one movie with a scifi convention I can think of is Galaxy Quest, I'll guest it, even though I'm sure it's not it... I would remember a couple cylons chatting.
