The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

Originally made and sold as part of the AGS Bake Sale in 2012, RAM Ghost is now re-released in its original form as freeware! Adopt a RAM Ghost! With our self-installing Hopelessly Oldfashioned, User-Supported Environment (H.O.U.S.E.), you can lure a bit of abandoned game code into a simulated house. Just like you and me, these ghosts love fun and entertainment, and it's up to you to take care of your little guest. Who knows... maybe you can even make it into the game it was once supposed to be? AGS Panel Review

"This is a gorgeous and highly addictive game that everyone should try. You will fall in love with your little RAM ghost like a pet."

3 people commented on this game (newest first):

The game is based on a very fresh, very interesting idea. Do yourself a favor and read the manual because it leads you into the game's world through a very elaborate story. It really stimulates the imagination. However, it made me anticipate more involvement than I found the gameplay to provide.
Don't get me wrong, what the game does - it does well - and you can find in the execution the same care for details as in the story. But I felt that I just didn't get much interaction with that very interesting world.
Basically the game is about taking care of the little ghost and we watch her go through a daily routine. The repetitiveness may hold back an older player that isless sensitive to the cute graphics. Also, I felt the need to know how the little ghost connects to her past: her thoughts, her memories.
Anyway, the game succeeded in getting me interested in what happens to the little ghost and ...well, I did'nt expect this to happen but I begun to care for her... So be warned, the more time you spend with this game in a single sitting - the more you risk to get attached.
At first it may take you a while to learn what you have to do exactly to progress, but then everything runs smoothly. And as I felt that the end approaches Igot a little excited about what will happen then. I will only say that the ending felt a little rushed. I can't get over it, I need a sequel !

One of the loveliest non-adventure AGS games! Cute premise, adorable animations and surprisingly addictive gameplay make this game a joy to play.

All those cute little animations made me love this game.
Thinking about all the scriptings to be done for every possible action and timing in relation to the mood makes me dizzy but full of admiration for the Ghost that was able to make this happen by using AGS!
I recommend you to play and watch it by yourself!
