The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

Something weird has happened. You wake up in a dungeon, and the world seems a mishmash of fantasy, sci-fi and reality. You must find out what has happened and what is going to happen, and perhaps stop it.

Features:

1024 x 768 resolution

34 rooms

15 Non-player characters

Hand drawn graphics

Music

Animation

Sound

Silliness

Update 14 May 2014:

Added music by Kristin Burdal (https://soundcloud.com/fruluna)

Added sound

Added voice when the fourth wall is broken

Slightly polished bits

Update 14 December 2013:

Added a dialogue to avoid a puzzle being slightly illogical

The configfile is now present; smooth sprites for everyone!

Update 7 December 2013:

Most likely fixed random crash at castle

Fixed a few glitches (castle and inside witch's house)

Even fewer typing errors!

Update 4 December 2013:

Fewer typing errors in dialogue

Fixed a few minor cosmetic bugs

Adjusted play-time after feedback

Possibly fixed random crash at castle

The game is my first attempt at a complete game (should take about 150 minutes to play through). It has no sound. I might add sound/speech in the far future, but for now I'm content how it is.

The download file is packed as a .rar to reduce download size. The unpacked game is 736 MB.

AGS Panel Review

"The fantastic graphics and smooth animations are the most outstanding features of this game. Despite the crazy setting and weird characters the puzzles are all logical and never get boring. The GUI is innovative and helps in guiding the player. The downside is that this games is completely lacking any audio, so there are neither music nor sound effects. "

The goblin and tree scene... that reminds me of a scene in Simon the Sorcerer (the first one). Perhaps that's where the inspiration came from?

I really enjoyed playing this game and I hope there will be a sequel.

This great game is a very delicate mixture of bests of adventure gaming. It has humor, sarcasm, mistery, fantasy, epicness, aphorism, nice puzzles, good artwork etc. but such diversity in a rather short story is giving little bit of a collage feeling. A more spicy musical score would be better also.

Nonetheless many hours of enjoyment is awaiting you.

This is a very good effort and we definitely need more of this :)

Excellent game. The storyline was a bit wacky, but great artwork.

A very good game. The graphics and animations are some of the best I've seen in AGS, and compares favorably to commercial games. The humor is good, together with the art it sometimes reminds me to Discworld, though this game's world has a personality of its own. The puzzles are on the easy side, yet they are very well designed.

The only downside is that towards the beginning of the game there's significant and unavoidable backtracking. It gets better later as there are more open areas to explore.

It's somewhat unfortunate that there is no sound. It's still better to have a game with no sound than no game at all. Just play some of your favorite music.

I had a lot of fun playing this nice game. A lot of puzzles that fit well in this little world and left me entertained. All of you who love the classic p&c adventures shouldn't miss this one to play.
Well done!

A rather epic adventure, filled with little puzzles to keep the cogs in your brain turning. Not the only cogs...

You'll find your head in the clouds with this one, and then that point where you solve a puzzle and A leads to B leads to C and D, it's a good feeling.

For such a developed game I did wonder why the lack of introduction, and some music would have been nice too. True the game reveals some storyline, but it would have been good to start off having some kind of clue as to what is going on.

At any rate, this is many hours of enjoyment

This one was great! Thanks for making! I especially enjoyed the Tree/Goblin conversation. Gave me a little canopy envy.
