The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

This is my MAGS entry for August, 2017, the theme of which was "The Bible". It's a pretty basic whodunnit mystery game where you try to figure out which disciple betrayed Christ to the Roman soldiers for 30 pieces of silver. IMPORTANT: THE GAME IS RANDOMLY GENERATED EACH TIME YOU PLAY. THE GUILTY ONE WILL NOT JUST BE JUDAS. IT COULD BE ANY ONE OF THE DISCIPLES. I had planned a much better A.I. system, which is still in the code, but did not have the time to implement it. So, for now, the game is just a pretty basic "spot the liar" exercise. I hope to further implement the more subtle gameplay systems in the future.

AGS Panel Review

"Clever combine-the-clues puzzle game."

It's hard not to rate the graphics at top score when it's done by daVinci! This was a fun little brain exercise.

Another unique idea by Mandle, who is not afraid to go one step beyond. I'm sure that if Mandle had longer time he would have made improvements and added additional features, but alas time ran out as it so often does. Great idea of the theme..

It took me a bit to figure out how to play. Eventually I did. It's a clever puzzle game, and I really enjoy the look and sound of it as well.

The basic principle of this game is very simple, but it is actually quite challenging at times. The interface is good, and it is clear what information you are being given. A great logic puzzle that stays fun each time you play.

Very impressive work getting Da Vinci to help with the art. The interface is also very well done. This is a game that might require some pen+paper work to solve, but it also very rewarding.
