The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

Made for June MAG competition 2018. "Bill Rutherford is an ordinary eight-to-five type guy. He works in a local bank doing a job that he finds rather stuffy. He is single and hopes that one day he will meet the girl of his dreams. He does not know it yet, but he is about to step into something mysterious that will change his life...forever." He goes to the Silver Cafe for coffee when he bumps into Carol and it is instant attraction. The idea of the game is to get to know Carol in as few days as possible. You do this by guessing her favorite things such as drink, food, song etc etc. You need to get all subject options correct to go to the next scene..... failure of any subject option will make you relive the day again. Will Bill get the girl and if so, how many days will he have to relive before he does?

3 people commented on this game (newest first):

The girl's preferences were a bit too stereotypical for my taste... I kind of hoped she would prefer Mad Max but oh well ;) The plot twist was pretty fun.

A simple small-scale implementation of a groundhog day time loop. Rather short, but enjoyable enough.

A short and sweet game. With a gleeful ending!
