The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

A first-person, sort-of-escape-the-room, point-and-click adventure
dealing with grief, trauma and depression, and how they can take us to a
place that's very hard to come back from.

AGS Panel Review

"Well written story which centers on depression."

11 people commented on this game (newest first):

After playing If On A Winter Night, Four Travellers, it's interesting to go back to this earlier game and see that some of the same ideas are present here as well, albeit in a different form. Creepy and unsettling, as a game about depression should be.

A well crafted narrative that worked perfectly with the visual style and music to create an immersive experience. I'm personally a bit unsure about that one central puzzle, didn't really seem to fit with the rest of it and I probably would have preferred to play this simply as interactive fiction. But thanks for the emotions and looking forward for more.

I like this style of game.
I would recommend not to abuse the screen flickering effect because it made me a bit sick.

Oh wow, love the way this game progresses, it is very well designed and for anyone who has 20-30 minutes available, I say go play this.

I tried downloading the game again and managed to work around my antivirus. Anyway I enjoyed this short and somewhat dark game.

Very short and creepy game. Has one good puzzle. Good game for 10-15 minutes coffee break.

A short game, a short story, a short glimpse into the life (and flat) of a girl that struggles from depression. The story is told really well and there are things to click on, this is totally my game. There is also a puzzle in it that is fun to solve.

Update: I sent the file to Kaspersky Labs, since it was one of the programs that was returning a false positive, and they replied confirming that the file is clean and that they will fix it on their end, so... yay!

Hi Michael, unfortunately many antivirus programs (especially Avast, as you can see here https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=54440.0) will falsely flag AGS executables as viruses, it even happens to me even when I'm working on my own games. In any case, there is no virus and it's safe to run... and you can always upload it to any number of online virus scanning services if you don't trust me :).

I downloaded this and got a virus which fortunately my antivirus took care of but I figured I should warn everyone.
