The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

You are a student at a School of Witchcraft. It's Halloween night and you absolutely have to make a potion for an exam. You have your list of ingredients but the ingredients are nowhere to be found.Meet spooky characters and use the objects in the room to solve the puzzles.

This is more of a puzzle game than an adventure game, I think. It's a small game about getting the ingredients to the magic potion before Halloween, but there's no real story further than that. The puzzles work quite nicely, and I enjoyed solving them.

This is a charming little game with nice graphics, some interessting puzzles and, unfortunately, some fairly random hotspots.

The game is originally in French, but an English translation is available that is all in all good. There's a chart of the meaning of some flowers at one point in the game that isn't translated (character says they are too lazy to translate - got a chuckle out of me) but the related puzzle is still solvable.

For such a short game (about 25 minutes) there are quite a lot of puzzles and, more important, different kinds of puzzles. They make sense overall, but as it's not always clear what parts of the game world you can interact with, they turn out more difficult then they should be. I loved the stardust puzzle, even though it's a bit of a pixel hunt.

This game feels pretty rushed in parts: you can do things twice and there's no proper ending (it's clear when you are done, but you just stay in the game world afterwards), but that doesn't take away from the enjoyment in my opinion. But I do hope this game will get a revised version in the future.

It's a charming game with lovely graphics. I had fun
