The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

AGS Panel Review

"Cinematic visuals, and wonderfully atmospheric, engaging storytelling, result in a game that simply radiates quality. Highly recommended!"

Played it today with my wife, gotta say we both loved everything...music, art, design and write, all of them such beautiful and well done.
The only issue we had was that we closed the game during the intro of the third character, then when we decided to play the last one the game hadn't saved, so we just jumped to youtube and whatched the last part.

What can I say, most games today fail to connect the player with the character at a deeper level, but this game had such interesting characters and the way you can feel connected with them and go in too deep was just amazing, I can just tell you I felt the same way they felt.
The Music was just excellent for me, the music just simply connected with every emotions displayed at all levels, I feel like there just wasn't enough but still overall, it never had any negative impact on the game.

3 powerful and sad stories.
These are some of the best low res animations I've seen in a while.
I find it brilliant that the whole game only requires the left mouse button. There's no need for inventory or a traditional 9-verb interface.

This may be the best game I've ever played.

Excellent game! The writing is intelligent and refined, the puzzles are cleverly designed to organically blend with the storytelling, the music creates a unique mood (I can still hear it in my head now when I look at the screenshots). Add some of the most beautiful pixel art you'll find anywhere on the internet and you've got what's probably one of the best AGS games ever made.

I had the honour to test this game and can not recommend it enough. It has everything a game needs, great storytelling, stunning art, fitting music and relateable characters. The themes are a bit heavy, but I found the game really entertaining nonetheless.

Absolutely exquisite!

This game warrants lots of praise: graphics are commercial quality — actually many commercial indie games do not reach this level — and writing is top notch too (captivating without getting in the way).
Superb immersion, well fleshed-out characters (well researched locations too!) and some interesting puzzle ideas in an adventures that is otherwise quite plot driven (and gore driven too, stay away if you do not like this).
For sure one of the most distressing productions in this database, thanks to everyone involved in developing it.
I will add that there are numerous nice touches that makes this worth of a replay: you can pick slightly different choices, there are many cultural references, you can examine stuff and get "feeler" text etc. You can see the authors really worked hard to make the world come alive.
