The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

It is April 1944. The RAF Lancaster bomber 'Return Journey' hurtles
through the dark skies over occupied Europe. With the bombs away, the aircraft has turned for home...but they are not out of the woods yet.

Youare Sergeant Percy Smith, flight engineer. Trained in mechanics and first aid, you will play a vital role in getting your six crewmates home safely.

Time is of the essence. Hestitate too long and men will die.
In school, you fantasised about a one-way journey to Europe. Now you're trying to avoid it with all your skill and endeavour.

AGS Panel Review

"Very limited timed game, but uses that time to get its points across."

4 people commented on this game (newest first):

Nice little game. Only half of my crew members were saved at first but I felt compelled to retry.

Impressive use of five days! The game takes perhaps five minutes, and in those minutes a pupil would learn more than in an hour of history class. Fun and serious at the same time.

That was a very interesting concept! The game being timed out made it very original and I liked it a lot. Of course as a MAGS it was very short but I would hope to see it grow later in a more developped version. You really feel the tension of being in a bomber and risking your life. Part of it reminded me of in-train puzzles in The Last Station which was a very good game too.

I'm not a fan of timed games with no save option but this one was fairly easy and yet entertaining.
