The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

Markus, the young apprentice of a local potion master, has barely started his apprenticeship when trouble began - his master, Zabella, was found lifeless (but not quite dead) on the floor of her own underground lab. The local doctor can only do so much, leaving it up to Markus to investigate his master's mysterious collapse and -hopefully- find a way to cure her.

AGS Panel Review

"Longer and more evolved than most MAGS games, this fantasy game excels in world building and looks and sounds excellent. This reviewer enjoyed the puzzles. While mixing potions may not seem  everyone\'s idea of a fun pasttime, the recipes are remarkably well integrated into the story, which makes it all the more compelling."

3 people commented on this game (newest first):

Very good graphics and interesting concept. However, it was rough around the edges (hard to find exits, having to click certain things in a special order, etc.) and that reduced the enjoyment for me (I might be a bit too critical here, because fantasy is definitely not my favourite genre). The game leaves the feeling of something bigger to come. Let's see, what the creators will come up with!

The game shows a lot of potential! The drink mixing is really a lot of fun. It entertained me well, and I look forward to perhaps playing a more elaborate version of it in the future.

Impressive attention to detail and stunning artwork makes the world of the potion masters come alive. I found the puzzles challenging, but fair. Recommended!
