The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

Do you remember those problems when being a teenanger? Lucy had a terrible day. She wanted to confess her love but it didn't turn out as she would have liked it to. All she wants to do now is write her diary and forget about this day. But back home her brother will give her a hard time. Come and enjoy those hilarious teenager-days with Lucy Lavender.

This is my first big project finished. I used background graphics from Willy Beamish, an old adventure I liked very, and I used Software like SimPose and Paint Shop Pro to make my set of characters. For story, puzzles and jokes only I can be blamed, but I hope you enjoy :)

Too easy short game.
For sex/nudity: not only suggestive dialogs, but "suggestive" pictures and objects.

I like the idea behind the game, but I'm afraid the poor graphics broke the experience for me.

It's pretty good, but it's kind of hard to get the items you need. I noticed you used the sims for the characters, that was really smart!! The disses are funny too. In my opinion, it was good, but it could be better.

trying it first time: what i have seen so far: the dialogs are funny, as you may see for yourself when the game starts, or when you use the option 'insult'. seems like the puzzles are logical in a way they dont defy physics laws, but they may defy common sense. about graphics and over all comparisson, you may be impressed by the pretty backgrounds, but they may betray you since this game does make use of pixel hunt, you dont have an option to navigate with the cursor trough the creen to locate objects you can interact with, so you have to basically click every way around to see what are objects (which may be confussing precisely because of the style of the pictures), and furthermore try all options to find which ones can you interact with, since quite some are just scenary. besides of the pretty backgrounds, you wont see anything different than what you see in the introduction, mainly because all is made of dialogs. when you interact with an object you wont see the characters using it, or anything like that, just a dialog that says 'i am using that object' so basically all is background, the sprites of the characters and dialogs. it looks like a thing you may want to see if you feel empathy for the teenage years if you are or were a female teen living in the usa. some other countries may have a different life style than that (the cheerleader that has a crush on the sports team leader, the punk that bullies a guy and flushes him in the wc..

This is one of the toughest games I've come across so far, and can be very frustrating. Looking back, the puzzles don't seem so bad though. You can do it if you persist. I admit i looked at a hint *feels bad* The graphics and music are from Willy Beamish. Overall, I feel the game is more frustrating than fun, but there are some fun moments, and nice character conversations hehe.

looks like a fun one. At entryway, there is a door in the far screen of "kitchen", should there be an exit other then the dining room there, like west of the "sink" island? There is also a door that you can view from the kitchen looking into dining room, just trying it out for the first time but see some loose ends, like the attic(?), what's up? there, really!:)G

I liked this one allright enough, but was somehow hoping for more.

That aside, I did find some elements a bit frustrating, but got through them eventually. Graphic-wise it looks okay due to the Beamish backgraunds, but I would have REALLY been impressed had the game had character sprites looked a lot cartoonier.

Still, not bad overall. It had some okay character development and an okay story. I would have liked there to be more of the "teenage problems" that the game's description (above) indicated, but not bad nonetheless.

First truly frustrating game I've come across so far at this site. Cannot figure out the brother's first command... Love the Beamish backgrounds, but makes it to confusing and I'm more or less spending all my time hunting for objects to interact with. Didn't keep my interest long enough to warrant me returning to the game, at least not without a walkthrough handy first.

Funny... reminds me of a German teenage comedy series. :-)

Why was it rated none for sex/nudity, not suggestive dialog?
