The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

Life of D. Duck is a funny little game.
Not every one will get the humour in all ags games.
But i like it.

I liked many of the animations, and the crayon-style graphics. But, some things might could have used a little bit more finetuning (e.g. when the protagonist enters some houses, it looks like he is glitching through the wall) and the main gui looked a little out of place. But it is a funny and enjoyable game.

This is a very good game, and is it a surprise that it is the 666th game made with ags? ;)

Witty in a messy sort of way, whoever made this has a good imagination.

The part where Uncle Jubalon begins to eat is hilarious. Great game.

Even though the characters speak in text you can hear their voices clearly in your head due to the brilliant characterisation.

I really don't know how to describe this; the feeling I got was: great doodle graphics combined with fine puzzles combined with what seemed to me like deliberately clumsy spelling - I enjoyed it a lot, and you will, too, if you are not one who rudely ignores the twisted beauty of a Duckburg gone off-mainstream.

You gotta love smiley faces.

The game was fun. The visuals are very well done, in spite of their squiggly look; they create a great atmosphere. The skippy music fits the pacing of the game very well. The puzzles, on the other hand, are linear and too easy, most of the time bordering on the trivial.

I want to think that the terrible spelling was on purpose, because in spite of its awfulness, it was 100% understandable. I guess the grammar was mostly correct and that's the reason why.
